He’s not the most odious of journalists, I always kind of enjoyed his laconic style on that Sunday morning journos chat show but he’s been very critical of us down the years - happy to play the oil money / FFP card at the drop of a hat

Pretty sure he’s a City fan, or at least grew up as one. Even just a casual search shows a fair few supportive articles about us. He’s been clear about the distinction between the majority of us and two minors on X, using that post to also point out how impeccable we were on the Munich disaster anniversary. Not saying there aren’t any critical articles out there but that should be a real journalist’s job - as long as it’s balanced and without an agenda or political leverage
