About time!

Celtic and Rangers is 95% politics, 5% football. There's guys in SCOTLAND (Rangers) who pretend they love England, the Royals and the UK as a whole just because of Celtic's Irish roots. Embarrassing.

Then there's the people on the other side (Celtic) who excuse Hamas' murders of innocents because they equate Palestine and Ireland as the same in a struggle vs Israel/England invaders. All politics, all unable to think freely/critically and follow the hive mind.

Funnily enough during The Troubles there was no REAL appetite for militant Republicanism in the West of Scotland. Rebel bands / marches were relatively rare.

Now after a couple of decades of not murdering innocent women and children in our shopping centres and the support is on the rise.

I saw a speech by the late Martin McGuinness recently talking about men in their 40s and 50s supporting armed republicanism. He said he didn’t know them. He didn’t recognise them. Where were these very people when The Triubles were actually happening?

Celtic have allowed this to go unchecked for years. They’ve actively supported the Green Brigade and their banners. Some may not know but The GB are allowed access to the stadium to make these banners.

Going to be very interesting where this all ends.

You think I’m a Unionist because Celtic have Irish heritage?

Celtic actually only exist because Hibernian started a club for Irish immigrants and an Irish priest , backed by local Irish businessmen, copied them. Rangers had a very close relationship with the Edinburgh side LONG before Celtic even existed.

I'm not trying to be rude, but you clearly have no understanding of Ulster Unionism, Irish Nationalism, the history of Scottish politics and the difference between England and Great Britain.

You have absolutely no idea about how most Scots feel towards the English. Your sweeping generalisation is actually insulting to most Scots!

48 out of 52 constituencies voted against Scottish independence in 2014!

It’s like claiming most Old Firm football supporters choose their club due to religion. I was a Rangers supporter long before I knew what religion is! I’m actually not religious at all. My children are Roman Catholics but support Rangers with a passion!

I support the English cricket team as much as any average English cricket fan!

Don’t follow any International football teams. I only ‘support’ whoever I’ve bet on.

I do dislike your Rugby team right enough but that’s it I’m afraid with my ‘hatred’ of the English

I spend quite a fair bit over an average season coming down to watch City. Last time I looked they were an English club with quite a few English internationals

My football club have no bearing on my politics. If Rangers had ceased to exist in 2012 ( yeh yeh) I’d be a Queens Park or Raith Rovers ‘supporter’ but I’d still be a staunch unionist.

Bit of a sweeping generalisation that. From my experience once people get to know each other they usually get on.

I’d say Glaswegians have a lot in common with Mancs and scousers in particular. The only really hatred seen is via football matches

As much as I love the Highlands I’d say I’ve much more in common with Mancs etc than I have with your traditional Tuechter.

It’s actually rare to meet a real Tuechter these days as the Highlands are full of English who love it and settle there / retire there and feel welcome there.

I’m not blinded to a very vocal minority of rabble rousers that we unfortunately have to put up with.

I’d also add that the leader of the Scottish opposition at Holyrood , Douglas Ross, is one of Scotlands top linesman and I can’t remember him being involved in any controversy and he gets what I’d call friendly banter like you’d expect the panto Villain receives.

Point of order. Who exactly excused Hamas murders? The support for a fair deal for Palestinians does not mean condoning atrocities. And please if a banner of the GB states it wants victory to the resistance, that doesn’t mean massacre people, and even if it did, that’s a few people out of our Dan base of several million. And to be fair, none of my Gers pals support England, take the knee to their betters like fucking serfs. There are a lot who do, but again not all or even near all are in that demographic.

I’ve told you I know little or really want to know much about it. I did read in our MSM that the original banner you mentioned was in praise of Hamas. That was after the 7th (if I remember correctly)

I just dont understand why the Celtic board allowed it to get to this stage. This could have been nipped in the bud way back with the anti poppy banner. The hanging of Protestant effigies from the stand. There have been many opportunities

Jeannette Findlay never tires of boring us all with the ‘We are not sectarian. We are political’ bullshit. She is the head of an organisation endorsed by the Celtic board!

From the outside looking in it was inevitable it would come to this. The Green Brigade were allowed to grow too big as they do have a huge following among the ‘traditional’ Celtic supporters

Huge following of trads? Were you getting that statement from? You have absolutely no way of knowing that. It’s like me saying all the refs are in one of the ludges, season ticket holders at Ibrox, hate and cheat for you every chance they get, when I know it’s only 98% of them.

I live in the WoS and meet and talk to people. I’ll be honest I do try and limit the amount of time I talk to Celtic supporters. : )

That’s not really the point though. Why was it allowed to get to this? Why is Jeannette Findlay connected to the club? The nutter is an absolute raging bigot!

I noticed the Onion Bears had a massive Otto thst the BBC down played. If that was the GB it would have been the cunts leading story.

The UBs were slaughtered by the Rangers support. Therein lies the huge difference in our supports

The Celtic board ban the GB just before Celtics annual embarrassment. Coincidence? I think not

I hear Celtic got yet another penalty. Struggled to beat St Mirren.

The ‘huge’ goal difference has disappeared.

Never mind League Cup weekend before back to League……we’ll for some of us

It was s penalty, Goggins saved the shot.as for goal difference, let’s just wait and see.
