Another collapse on the cards?
The Champions Trophy is a ODI tournament?
Surely it would be great experience for youngsters to experience international tournament cricket?
Who would you pick for the next 50 over game after the World Cup?
Probably a wise move. You may as well support a successful team.the Indian team
It is the England and Wales cricket team after all.Rubs hands, grabs popcorn, pipe and slippers :-) you know what I mean.
The irony being "Baz Ball" was started by Eoin in the one day game.Watched the cricket until the football and the early batting by England was hard going, We just didn't look like scoring the runs we needed, like Jimharri said the decline in 4 years is startling, From a team that scored 300 plus runs in most games to never getting near 300 is a big drop off,
Today was probably our best cricket all round in the World Cup and it was still not good enough to win and get us off the bottom. Changes have to happen and Questions about all parts of the setup including the coaches and captain.
We must rebuild and start to play more ODI crickets home and away, Eoin Morgan should be involved in the coaching and even become the ODI team manager with a young squad and let them have time to build and settle
Yeah, they look far too good for everyone.India meaning business, I can't see them losing a game unless they lose the toss and chase.
1987 Rugby Union one seemed like a walkover.Has there ever been a World Cup — in any sport — where it was this obvious, virtually from the start, that the home nation was going to win?
Not very sporting was it?Angelo Mathews becomes the first player I’ve ever seen given Timed Out.
It’s one of those spirit of cricket debates. Not very sporting was it?
Captain said "I felt like I was at war. Whatever I had to do, I did it."It seemed a bit of a ****'s trick by the Bangladeshi captain. Yes; it's a law of the game. And, apparently, the Bangladeshis might have been concerned about the over rate, even though they're out of the competition. But it's not in the spirit of the game, for me anyway. Similar to mankading, in my opinion. Even Shakib's post match comments hint that he knows it wasn't really on. "There will be debates", and "I don't know if it's right or wrong" .I see the fourth umpire has said that Mathews had used up his two minutes, even before the issue with the strap of his helmet came about. But would the umpire have given him out, without the appeal from Shakib? Highly unlikely.
