Chelsea (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Feels like 2 points dropped, but our 2 main title rivals have both been to Stamford Bridge and drawn too. Could be a vital point come the end of the season.

Raheem Sterling.... He's 10th in the league.

Just showing my bitterness towards Sly.

It should have had its neck trodden on early in the game. That tackle on Foden had been brewing and too many so called leaders let him stand over Phil on the floor. He should've been bounced. You can give him all the salary he likes, he knows what he is and he's never brought anything to our league or national team.

Can't blame Palmer, he's taken an opportunity that arose. He's not one of us though and never was. Red **** like the rest of his family so good riddance. Nice words from the boy in the interview tbf but the media need to drop the narrative of him being one of us.

Rodri pulled us out the shit once again, born winner. We've let them off the hook far too many times today though, it felt like those games v Klopp's Liverpool. We let Gallagher run all over us all afternoon which is unacceptable. Nowhere near aggressive enough from the off.

I'd have taken a point before the game and probably will once the emotion dies down, but we threw that game today against a serial loser and his players.

I have no problem with it. They're Chelsea employees now. They, and us, have moved on. Let them celebrate their cup final. If we'd defended as we can, they'd have had nothing to celebrate.

And yes; I am aware that there's plenty of others that will share your opinion. Almost definitely more than will share mine. So be it.
Fans are supposedly tribal with stuff like this but I don’t have the energy for it.

Sure he came through at City. He’s gone now. Such is life. As you were lad. If they said some nonsense (Milner/Raz) after leaving then I’d have some colourful words. Due to that, I won’t care about their celebrations against City.

Rather spend the emotional energy on those that are at City.

One of the most chaotic games in recent years, and that doesn't suit us. The difference that Stones makes to this team is almost immeasurable, IMO, and the defensive control in midfield was not there today, and neither was the defensive composure. Conversely, we were very dangerous in attack, but so were Chelsea, with Walker, especially, vulnerable in the face of Sterling. A couple of mistakes from normally reliable players displayed the lack of control felt throughout the team. An away draw is no bad result...we go on.

Brilliant game for the neutral. Not being a neutral, it’s very hard to stomach losing 2 points in injury time, but our defending was woeful.

Chelsea pulled us all over the place all game, and as I said in the match thread, I thought Dias was poor throughout. Almost too hyped up.

Ederson shouldn’t have spilled the 3rd into the middle of the goal and was nowhere on the 1st. If he’s going to parry, then parry it away to his left! He’s been top class and saved quite a few, but GK errors are goals, so it’s an unforgiving position. Dias went to ground for nothing on the initial shot on the 3rd and his man stroked in the rebound! Poor again!

Thought we were wasteful around their box, but we have to put it all into context, esp considering we were a bit fortunate for the penalty and the Rodri deflection.

4-4, best PL advert of the season, and losing that game (which was entirely possible) could have been very damaging, so you take the draw and realize our “meh” was the equivalent of them on fire!

Here’s hoping we don’t get any injuries in the Intl Break, because we are only a 16 man squad when push comes to shove.

Onwards and upwards…from Top of the League!
