Why are their hangers on in the media pushing the most in form team of the last five games? It’s proper weird and just prolongs their agony, this is where their problems lay from what they have done in the last ten years. The media seem desperate to sprinkle glitter on the turd as they cling to any slight ray of sunshine that shows they are progressing back to the promised land.

They’ve made hard work of getting past teams any half decent Premier League outfit should be beating. They’ve lost to teams in the Champions league who don’t have the budget that United have. It’s death by a thousand cuts for them, they win and all of a sudden everything is right with the world.
The media uses United’s fanbase to generate revenue. They tell them what they want to hear and they get viewers and clicks.

Spot-on about Leeds. The longer time goes on the more the history is re-written positively about Leeds and their anti-football team. Brian Clough was 100 per cent right about them. The "dirty Leeds" team set back English football for decades. Their physical style was copied by many clubs and crowds plummeted everywhere (also helped by the hooligan menace which Leeds also flourished at).

The Damned United remains the best Football related drama I have ever seen

The book is brilliant as well.
Not a huge fan of Michael Sheen, but he is excellent as a cocky, arrogant and almost manic, Brian Clough.
Some big stars in the film - including Stephen Graham as Billy Brenner...

Does that mean Giggs misses out on yet another Wales cap?
Am amazed he played as much as he did !
The shite-house was bullied by the GPC, although don't think Giggs had that much affinity for his birthplace ?
How he ever got the Welsh national manager's job is unbelievable. The waster showed no regard for the team as a player, then hung-on as long as he could, before the last court case scandal forced him to walk away...

You have to ask the question why measure over the last 5 games?

Why not the last 4 or the last 6, maybe it just happens that they weren't the most in form team over that period :)

I think the best measure is to see who is best over all the league games played this season, and guess who come out on top and who sits in 6th.

You have to ask?

Only 12 games into a season, here's a novel idea, why not just use the league table?
Oh, that's not appropriate, as we're top of the pile.

I think, as you say yourself, there's the answer. It doesn't make united look good.

It's like Salah's record of being the premier league's record holder for being the scorer of the most left-footed goals scored on a Saturday by a guy with curly hair (or whatever the made-up bullshit was that ensured he was the bestest ever)

Did you see Bryan Briggs' last pre-match talk as rags' caretaker manager?

It is mind-numbingly dull, and at one point, he points out that either City or Littlewoods are going to win the League, as if it’s a motivational factor for his bunch of wasters.

I can remember when we were not a very good football team
I'd look for any odd fact such as two away clean sheets in a row from our defence,or David White is the fastest player in the league..Anything to distract away from the reality we were crap.
This is how utd fans are viewing things now.
jog on sad rags.
