2022/2023 Accounts - Record Revenues & Profit - Annual Report

Yes that's a big wage bill but isn't all the staff on Citys books, from the bottom of the ladder to the top ?

I have no idea how many staff employ, or how big the bonuses were for winning the treble.

The headlines are geared up to make you think that the wages are just for the first team squad and management

It's over 500 employees apparently.

I spoke to a friend the other day who is an intelligent successful person who told me: "Whatever you say you have to give credit to Boris for getting Brexit done." Without getting into the Brexit debate surely even the most ardent Brexit supporters can't believe that anything has actually changed for the better since Brexit came in. People seem to have lost their critical thinking since social media took over the world. The delusion over City's finances is another example of this. It is easy to Google the CAS decision and their detailed statement but rival fans and pundits "can't handle the truth."
Lots of great things have happened post Brexit:
the Treble, signing Doku, detonating the rags, signing the Viking etc etc. Good old Boris.

Said before - spoke to a solicitor friend of mine (rag - got a box) - known him a long time, got his own firm. He said 'you must be worried - some colleagues say it looks bad'. I simply said ' Have you or them read the CAS report or even the summary? No? So you haven't seen the charges or evidence and as a legal professional are you willing to suspend the principle of innocent until proven guilty?

We are here to stay and the Prem aren't brave enough to do anything even if we were shown to be guilty

Look at how big we are now, our brand is absolutely massive.... the Prem would be shooting itself in the foot to drop a juggernaut like us

This report here is the culmination of 15 years of investment and desire to build a framework to be the best run club in world football, and its getting acheived
"We are here to stay and the Prem aren't brave enough to do anything even if we were shown to be guilty"

IF we are found guilty we will get hammered and rightly so, Chelsea also look to be in serious trouble, although with Romans dealing their alleged misdemeanors are no surprise.

Twisting the narrative to suit his argument. That genius probably never turned over 70 million before he went into administration and lost 30 million. What a business guy!

Where do we even start with this one? deary me

It's not City's fault that United were so complacently stupid 18 years ago Simon.

Yes, they're big, big, big. They must be, because you keep saying it every single show.

But the gap is slowly narrowing.............

He can’t even read the memo. City can’t possibly have that level of revenue, that’s the agreed line. Saying it’s not nearly enough for treble winners is kind of stepping on the point

For these PL allegations to be true hundreds of people working for auditors, our sponsors, our partners, and within our club (like Pep and Soriano) will have had to turn a blind eye for 15 years. Why has no one come forward? Why were UEFA unable to find any evidence? Why has it taken the PL years to investigate and now they have kicked it down the road to an independent panel (which hasn't even been set up yet)? If they had any evidence surely they would have just sanctioned City. This is not a criminal investigation where the CPS makes the decision.
The reason nothing has happened is blindingly obvious...there is no wrongdoing. This has been an orchestrated witchunt from start to finish by our commercial rivals. This sort of corruption (that's what it is) is one of the reasons the Government (with all-party support) is still pushing for an Independent Regulator for Football which has now become one of our most important industries. The malaise is much wider than just the Super League fiasco.
Due to the make up and ownership of the PL, each club hold one share, their rules of stature require any financial irregularities to be investigated by an independent panel
