First off to our American brethren, Happy Thanksgiving for tomorrow!

Ive been invited to a Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow as my brothers missus is from the U.S of A and she has family over.
Im just wondering what to expect? Is it just a Christmas Dinner? Do you deep fry your turkey like a giant KFC wing? Do I need to avoid food for the next 24 hours to prepare for it? Ive heard rumours of something called creamed corn which isn't filling me full of excitement I will admit and I think I've heard somewhere that you have pumpkin pie which sounds horrible.

They eat tur-duck-en… a chicken stuffed in to a duck stuffed in to a Turkey.

I'm not thankful at the mo. I'm having a bit of a childish pout. I didn't get the leaves up. I have been procrastinating. Now it has snowed 3" on top of them. Only about 25% are Maple leaves, the remainder are Oak and Oak are a nightmare to remove. You can't just run the lawnmower over Oak the way you can Maple. Oh well - only got myself to blame :-(

Enjoy the cranberries.

Raking leaves is a mugs game.

I always thought thanksgiving was celebrated on July 4th?
4th July is celebrating the day they kicked the Brits out.
Thanksgiving is the day for celebrating when they exploited the native Americans by having them show how to grow crops and survive the cold northeast weather, before killing them all in mass genocide

Had ours in Oct. Not sure what we are supposed to be thankful for. Something to do with the harvest.
All I know is that it's the weekend they kick us out of the trailer park until May.
I seem to remember some kind of harvest day in England when I was a nipper.
