PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I mean exactly that. Are they going to pass new laws that stops British football clubs operating outside of the British pyramid because right now there’s no legislation (as far as I know) that can stop this?
Regulator my arse.
They‘ve got regulators all over the place and they’re absolutely useless.
OFWAT. Rivers and seas full of shit
OFGEM. Consumers getting rinsed on fuel prices
OFCOM. Consumers getting rinsed on broadband and mobile prices (inflation PLUS 3.9% every year ffs)
Also, GB News running party political channels with impunity.
OFQUAL. Pointlessly changing education, to nobodies benefit.
Gambling Commission. More gambling available than ever and more people in trouble with it than ever.
IPSO. That’s worked brilliantly and the press now always print the truth……..

There are many others who, certainly under the present government, give the impression that they ‘regulate’ but invariably just do the industries bidding.
Anyone who imagines a ‘football regulator’ will not soon be in cahoots with the PL and the usual suspects, is likely in for some disappointment!

Not sure about mobile contract prices there. You can get decent contracts at £6 a month, my first mobile cost me £20 a month possibly more, back in 1996. Think calls were on top of that, and the handset.

Iirc, the government said at the time that they would pass legislation to stop British clubs playing outside the existing pyramid. I suppose the IR is a step in that direction. There are plenty of other things they can do, I guess. Nothing to stop "Manchester" United moving its franchise to, say, Reykjavik, though.
More likely Dublin (like Amazon) lower coporation tax !

They can try but I honestly don't think we'll accept anything that isn't unequivocally factual. I don't believe our ownership group has the least bit of interest in seeing to it that the Prem save face, nor should they. I truly believe City has and will continue to approach this as all or nothing...
Yep. It was all or nothing with UEFA with rumours that Ceferin had offered us a minor punishment when he turned up for that Shakhtar game a few months before they slapped us with the 2 year ban. The club were clearly confident of their position, otherwise we would've cut a deal before it went to CAS IMO. It seems they're equally confident this time too.

In addition to breaking of PL rules by the scouse cunts by not treating the P league or a fellow member club with respect, peace and loving kindness, they got the Portuguese hacker / a trojan horse into our systems, and supported the whole shit show to a farce called CAS & then had the temerity to hound the PL via its well placed puppets in the PL to go again. Add this to the Rags breaking FA rules by becoming a PLC, ergo a do what we fooking like and nothing to see here because were in the Caymans, we have them both drip feeding the most non journalistic scum of the earth who are emboldened by our temerity to treat people the right way, to hang the club without a trial, or shred of evidence that doesn't point to racketeering. One day the victims of failure of the last decade will be held to account, and from that point, the rest of their misdemeanors will surely follow, ie. pigmol, betting scandals, undue influence, collusion and corruption is not beyond beyond their M.O.

I saw Stefan's tweet from 2019 regarding the Liverpool hacking stuff, with him suggesting (when the leak happened) that it probably came from City and was perhaps a sign that the investigation or negotiations wasn't going to plan. I wonder if us subsequently having been charged points to Stefan being right on with this. I'm then probably thinking too much into things but wondering how significant that is in terms of our own confidence in clearing our name. If we thought the investigation wasn't going well and we might be getting charged, what did we know that they have over us?

I can't think of any business which started up or was rescued by legally obtained money and was built up to become a wonderful enterprise that was not only successful but was also of great benefit to the community of where it was set. Usually the entrepreneurs become part of the business hierarchy and are rewarded for their word by the way of knighthoods. Often competing businesses will accept that competition and just get on with the job and accept in a market economy that is something that has to be done to survive or to prosper.

Then up pops the Premier League...
