Couldn't find a 2023 darts thread.

Anyone watching the World Matchplay final? Aspinall playing some amazing darts.

Shame he's not a blue, mate said he was a Manc, then said Warrington....instantly guessed a red!
He plays in the Modus in Pompey.
They all think he's capable of that.

Definite red. Looking forward to seeing him on the tour. A bit more difficult but he is definitely good enough. Like you said, 115 avg at 16, is just unreal!

Future world champ and I don't say that lightly.
After all the Sky bigging up of Van Veen...."the new Van Gerwen" "next superstar" thought he was in Utds academy, the hype they gave him!!....who then lost all 3 group games at the grand slam ;)
Played Littler (5yrs his junior!) in the PDC world youth final Saturday....and got his ass handed to him ;)

van Veen is brilliant but Luke is levels above. Looking forward to seeing how he does at Ally Pally. A few will be worried about playing him.

Was just reading about him in the local paper. He went to same school as me apparently. He looks brilliant and can see him beating Gilding if he gets through. Potential third round clash with James Wade too who doesn’t have the best record in this although has found a bit of form recently.

Van Gerwen at 4-1 looks good value. Humphries rightly favourite after his recent form though. Aspinall at 33-1 might be worth a punt too.

I don't bet, but think betting on darts at present is pretty much lucky dip, too many that can potentially win it, if top of their game at the time ;)
