As this forum doesn’t seem to have a media thread…

now, I’ve probably got my anti City bias media goggles on, but I’m struggling to understand why this piece is headlined Aston Villa, when the blurb indicates that it is Villa AND City taking the lead.

the more bizarre part of the blurb concerns Arsenal, you know that diverse team of players whose season squad photos had a resounding zero BAME faces… I would have thought that would have been mentioned in respect to Arsenal, rather than shoehorning in a different arsenal only initiative.

still, a positive for City in the blurb, and amazingly not a mention of the ’incredible’, ‘inspiring’ and ‘bringing communities together’ United , maybe Ashton has been busy with Ineos PR.

When Ratboy was reading his script I nearly broke the Tele.
Im not watching, just got in, but I flicked on the bbc live text feed… an examination of the words typed would lead you to assume it was a tight game with City edging it. … a quick flick to the match stats and City are clearly burying them on shots. The only one (of 4) that was on target was the pen, compared to 8 from 17…

Same old, same old

I don't know if this the appropriate place to post this but it seemed to slightly fit at least.

Perhaps I'm getting soft in my old age but the video brought a tear to my eye. My first child, my son, died hours after birth. Had he lived, the doctors say he would have been in a wheelchair his whole life. Alisha Lehamann made this young man's day. I'm sure he will probably remember it for the rest of his life.

Sky Sports advertising the weekend games. Various rags and spurs ladies saying their name. It then says "Tottenham Hotspur play Manchester United live on Sky sports."

Cuts to the promo card which has City V Aston Villa advertised in the left hand corner as the first game on.

bbc reporting that it'll be a record WSL attendance at the emirates between arsenal and chelsea of 58000 (presumably tickets sold).

It looks less than half full, hardly anyone above the lower tier, I wonder what the price of tickets was, that so many can't be arsed to actually attend ?

Probably mostly free tickets to falsely boost the attendance figures or raise the average attendance number.

Well there were nowhere near 59,042 there, so it makes you wonder how they account for it, I'd say the bottom tier was about 2/3 full, the top tier no more than 1/3. The weather was pretty shite this morning, so I could see why people didn't bother when it's live on TV. I don't see the point of lying about it when you can see for yourself.

Rags have done it for years mate, it's puzzling.

I see that England's new poster girl Lauren James got away with some more petulance today. After using her physicality in an aerial duel she then went on to run her foot down an opponents leg before standing on the foot. Got a yellow but could/should have been a red. Guess she didn't learn her lesson at the world cup after all.

I watched the match until the City match started. I posted about this woman the other day on the England v Scotland women’s match. I don’t like her attitude one bit and I for one wouldn’t have her at City. It should have been a red, no intention to play the ball and although it didn’t cause a lot of damage to the player the snide sort of stamp, made it show her for what she is.

She got a face like a slapped arse and seems to be not a very nice person at all
