Most people won’t give it a second thought if they even noticed, most people don’t watch Dr Who thinking they’ll get accurate historical depictions of real historic characters. Will they also be thinking Newton really discovered gravity when an apple fell on his head or named it when a time traveller in a phone box gave him the idea?
 
tbh thought there was no real need to make newton anything but what he was, though it realy doesn't matter how he was depicted as it was very brief, I was more annoyed that they reafirmed the timeless child bollocks

Perhaps Cruise identifies as being 6' 5" and 250 pounds. Are we to oppress him for having these ideas?
 
Watched a Pertwee era Dr Who on the iPlayer last night which featured June Brown (aka Dot Cotton) in the cast as a medieval maiden. Kept expecting her to say "ooh I say" all the time!

Me too when I saw it. When she sees a sontoran that would have been the perfect line.

Is the disappointment because people looking forward to seeing more flesh? Perhaps some frottage at the entrance to the TARDIS.
