Luton Town (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

To the letter of the law it’s a yellow but how many Luton players did simi and go away with it. Brown and Lockyer could have been booked 3 or 4 times each. Very inconsistent refereeing.
I don’t disagree with what you are saying. There was a discussion in another thread about how few players have been sent off against us in the league. Burnley saw a red in the final minute and Spurs last year saw the same, but only Wolves last year saw a red early enough in the game for it to effect the result. That deliberate unwillingness to book for similar fouls is keeping opponents at full strength, and at least in that regard the refereeing is consistent, unfortunately.

Luton Yard Dogs F.C. , shit ground , shit fans , referee was a wanker , i stopped counting at 20 fouls in the first half and the referee did f*ck all , and the first trip Rodri does and he is in the book.
Never seen an opposition crowd cheer a foul throw but these f*cking retards did , we are miles away from our best if we cant put a bunch of neandethals to the sword , we do have issues.
Our creativity is poor we are predictable , OK we have injuries but there are also some very good players on that pitch and they look shit scared of taking on the opposition and just play safe football , its not a cardinal sin to lose the ball if you are trying to create something , we need to get the hunger back and start tearing teams apart again.

Gonna just stick you on Ignore now. But this is particularly hilarious as I have an English degree from Cambridge University.

You've just been embarrassing yourself this whole thread. Maybe give it a rest now.
Do it mate, I have a couple of rude buggers on ignore and it has made my life far better,

We look much more measured and in control when they play. However, can we keep Kovacic fit and can we prevent the officials from booking Rodri for the slightest infringement?
Understand your frustration but Rodri’s yellow was totally deserved today. He needs to reel it in a bit. Hard to say if each tactical foul is worth the risk. I’m not a professional footballer or manager. You would like to think he is working to some instruction..

Glad we got back to winning ways, was a scrap and, if you don't get the early goal especially, it only gets tougher with every minute.

I wasn't confident that we would not concede in injury time.

Funny to hear the Luton fans singing two one to the referee, clearly both sides felt he was a bit rubbish today. How var decides that wasn't a red card offence is one I'd like clearing up, two feet, off the ground, makes contact, stays on the pitch.
