Luton Town (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Good win against a gang of thugs given carte blanched to foul by a rather lenient ref.
Much much better though we weren't clinical enough. For ages I though we'd score a third or concede an equaliser. For once we didn't concede.
Their keeper, Kaminsk, imade 3 fantastic saves to keep them in it.

The tackle on Phil didn’t even warrant a booking
I thought it was reckless myself definitely deserved a booking. Phil's a lucky boy.
On a side note I get the feeling the refs are going to be looking out for Rodri. They'd be happy for the odd yellow to pile up and get another ban.

Great win. Fuck Jamie Carragher the scruffy ****, and Kelly Cates couldn't stop telling everyone we're 4th.
That's how to shut the doubters up.
Was in the foulest of shit moods at half time, totally against the run of play.

The boys in blue will never give in.
She has no shame she was even wearing red!

:)

I don’t mind Kelly!

No Carrwharr he has me spitting!!

Fuck me you are scraping the bottom of a very very deep barrel if that’s the best you can do.

Well one of those was one of the few ones that they came out publicly afterwards to say VAR got it wrong.

Subjective decisions, there’s been plenty in every game for and against, like there is for everyone else.

Organised thuggery against the best football side the premier league has seen. They should really value what Peps teams have done for their brand, and instead they allow skillless thugs to kick shit out of us. How any sane person can watch that assault on Phil and not give a red card is breathtaking incompetence, unadulterated corruption or more likely both. When we win the league we do it against all the odds, every time. It’s a national disgrace. We used to think uefa were bad, but the premier league is so much fucking worse

Vital win today.

We sat with the home support and I am struggling to describe them without using a politically incorrect term. I’m not sure I’ve encountered a crowd that complained about every refereeing decision that went against them (Scousers?).
Seeing it on TV, the home complaining was VERY visible both audibly and visually given how close the seats are to the pitch. I couldn't believe how much belly-aching there was.
The ref actually got most decisions right.
Except for the missed RED card for the spikes on Foden, perhaps so. Not sure what VAR replay the ref saw to not book that. ;-)
We had a close view of a lot of the action and it was interesting seeing some of the touches and movements of City’s players. A different perspective to sitting on Level 3 of the Kippax.

Luton were a tricky little banana skin due to their tight pitch. Technically they were limited but they were aggressive, quick and reasonably well organised defensively.

City played well, not great.

Kovacic is getting back to his early season form. Gvardiol is going to be some player, there’s a lot more to come from him.
Glad you got to enjoy it live, and thanks for representing! Cheers.

Dickhead fans vote. Not to be taken seriously.
Dickhead fans vote you say? That's absolutely true.....take yesterday as an example. Scum vs Bournemouth....I gave every scum player 1 and every Bournemouth player 10. Oh hang on a minute....that's actually a fair assessment.

Not the most prettiest of wins but who cares if its 3pts.

Yes we have room for improvement but after the World Cup. We should play much better and start hitting form again.

We have a mountain to climb after the last few weeks of poor performances. We need Liverpool and Arsenal to hit bad form if we are to recover. Villa have done us a favour and no favour with the last 2 games.

After the ref played way over the 6 mins made me laugh when the exact moment Eddy caught the cross he finally blew, like oh fuck it no point playing any longer now city have got it.
i mean the chances of it being full time the exact second it hits Eddie's gloves.
we made a sub during ET so was always going to add on a minute

According to Prestwich Blue Foden has the strength of a wet tissue- posted on Twitter after that challenge!

I don’t think we need them to do anything really but we certainly need to improve our form.
