Just didn’t know what to do. He stood around looking gormless for a while thinking do I just leg it. It’s a long walk from that technical area to the tunnel!!

A change in fortunes for us is (hopefully) on the horizon, the rags lurch from one domestic crisis to another, billions and billions of pounds in debt, a side full of overpaid Championship-level prima-donnas who couldn't give a fuck if they win or lose as long as they pick up their 300k (basic wage) packet, playing in a third-rate stadium that is crumbling around their ears even as we speak, and a changing room where the occupants would rather kill one another than even adapt a charade of friendship/cameraderie.

We are where we are despite the contentious refereeing decisions we've had to suffer, the rags are where they are because of questionable refereeing decisions.

Enjoy the festive period, Blues. Enjoy finally being in a position where we can justifiably look down at the 'not-in-my-lifetime' polystyrene club with a disdainful sneer and a withering comment - or two. Enjoy it.

i havent seen any style of play or anything to suggest hes competent of coaching anyone, there isnt a single player who he has made better or is doing anything different now than they were before he came.

There was a time when in trouble Himalayan explorers, Pacific Ocean sailors, plane crash victims lost in the jungle, would all ask, when rescued: “ Has Birtles scored yet?”

The strange thing is that his goal scoring ratio before he joined the rags was about 1 in 9.
The poor lad as regressed since joining the biggest bestest club in the world.
Maybe he hasn't got the utd DNA after all.
