Birmingham City Thread - 2023/24

I think he's got 5 points out of 27; probably 5 out of 30 tonight - away at Cardiff.
Still, at the weekend, they host Leicester so I'm sure they'll win that one......not.
5 points out of 33 incoming by the weekend.
 
Cannot for the life of me understand why they gave granny shagger this job. No credentials whatsoever and the American owners just saw the name and thought that’s a good idea , we’ll win league one next season

It was a ridiculous decision to appoint him. I'm not sure what Garry Cook was thinking.

They were 6th in the table when he took over. They'd picked up 18pts from 11 games. Since Rooney's taken over, as you say, they've picked up 5pts from 27 and now sit 17th and 4pts above the relegation zone.

They said they wanted someone who would bring in this "no fear" attitude to help elevate the club. Well he's overseen one win and they've scored 8 goals whilst conceding 18. So it ain't fucking working!

How do clowns like this keep getting employed?!

Garry Cook was on the verge of sweet talking him into joining City when he was in charge. So its just maybe "job for a mate" who he thought could replicate his football career into management. Garry always looked for the headline and this appointment was no different. They will probably both be gone soon leaving a mess behind.

This time next year he will be raking it in managing in Saudi anyway. I'm sure he'll have no problem getting a gig there being a big name.

I'm surprised he didn't just try to go straight there actually. He must have still had a bit of ambition but this will probably cement the fact he isn't a good enough manager and he'll be off to Saudi.

Garry's a Birmingham City fan so he'll do his best to try and sort out the mess, I'd imagine he'll be retained and given another chance once Rooney is sacked off. He's the CEO of the Saudi league as well so if he is sacked he'll be okay!

I misread it at first and had a horrible image of a granny getting to work with her gums....
