I know we criticise the players but most teams camp with 11 behind the ball and hope to hoof it into midfield for a knock on.

This game craves for a Doku...someone who is prepared to take a player on and run at him. Players taking the easy pass option all the time. Rodri ran forward and we scored the goal.

Always difficult to break down such deep defences, especially without any aerial threat up front for crosses. It means we really have to try and go through the middle which is just so congested

Great goal from Rodri and hopefully 2nd half they'll tire a bit and more spaces will open up for us.

Keep going the same (while cutting out the odd sloppy pass) and we should win this fairly comfortably.

On another note all this possession means nothing it we dont create clear cut scoring chances, Pep has to find a soloution, games like this means the opposition however shite are still in the game.

PS: Walker is ass.

Would hope the solution is Doku, KDB and Haaland. Very difficult to create against so many sat back. Without a natural dribbler in Doku , someone like KDB who can come up with defence splitting crosses or passes from anywhere. Also as deep as they’ve been there have been a couple of times we could have played a quick striker through when we’ve won possession back quickly. Nobody with explosive pace to play in though without Haaland.

What a player dribbling when one on one with their fullback in the box with everyone else in position? If you manage to get exploited from there your team set up has to be very wrong. The likes of Robben and Messi would take their man on virtually every time in that situation and even those 2 world greats would get tackled plenty of times
