I think it is possibly a bit unfair to compare Rooney, who is utterly clueless, with Lampard. The latter got Derby into a play off final, managed Chelsea twice, first time in a transfer embargo, with COVID on top, and second time in the post Ukraine sanction period in a season where they imploded. His effort at Everton was no worse than others there and he kept them up. I’m not saying he is the next Pep by any means, but I suspect he brings a bit more than Rooney.
 
He's come out with a statement saying he doesn't feel 13 weeks is long enough to change anything.

13 weeks is a short time, that's true. Taking a team from 6th to 20th in just 13 weeks is incredibly bad.

He should think about that flipside instead of feeling hard done by.

It was an idiotic appointment in the first place. If he had any sense he'd have told them no as it was too far away from a transfer window.

He will. Saudi if he fancies it.

It also depends on his job expectations and whether he can be humble enough to take a job at a smaller club. Some will still take him on for some reason.

If he's serious about being a manager, despite how dogshit it seems he is, he would be better off working as an assistant for a few years with a knowledge manager and learn his craft that way and then try again.

But I guess when you've been famous since age 16 and had people kissing your arse since then, he probably still feels his lacl of ability isn't the problem, so no lessons will be learned and it'll happen again if he gets a job with some pressure to succeed.
 
Not surprising that he's failed as a manager for someone who was overrated for the last 8 years of his footballing career & someone who finds it difficult to string two words together.
I'll be amazed if any club outside of Saudi take him on again.

There’s no chance of him being a successful manager. He’s a piss pot, who has never played tactical football.

He wouldn’t know what a pocket or half space was if they hit him in the face.

The GPC created winning teams, but with archaic football. It‘s why none of his players have been able to become winning managers.

Arteta is already better than any of his disciples. Even the Tent Peg is a pound shop Pep.

Well I meant another job within the English system rather than a joke of a league like Saudi or back to the MLS.
The issue he will have, as he clearly rates himself highly is not many lower league clubs would meet his pay demands - on top of which ever club he goes to, it can be guaranteed their fan base won't won't him and he'll be onto a lower before he even begins. "The Wayne Rooney Effect" has ended.
