WTF!

The Daily United just had to use a stock picture of Joey Barton in a City shirt from 2002-2007. Including a full size picture. Absolute c*nts!

More exposure, more clicks, more revenue.

The mail have an awful agenda against city.

It’s started again in January, just like the last time, when they failed to win any of the trophies.

The Liverpool loving football media made up ‘new quadruple’.

The PL title, the Thursday Night Cup, the FA Cup, and the Carabao Cup.

It's only what they think!

Supah-Dupah Scintillating Scousers !!!
Great, that's the motivation (if needed) for Pep and the Lads to quietly get on with their job.
The higher they are elevated to, the greater the fall.
Unfortunately, when they inevitably feck-up, the media seem to give them a free pass on them being "bottle merchants".
It's nearly always swept under the carpet that Klopp's teams lose an awful amount of Cup Finals...

My ERO was telling me that the BBC, I think, have manufactured another 'stat'! It's how quickly teams change defence into attack. Naturally, the Coach Wreckers are top with 1.9 summat and we're down in the basement with nought point summat. It seems that hoofing it from yer own area into the opposition half for the likes of Salah to chase is the antidote to Pepball! I would think that there are dozens of sides in L1 and L2 who could give the Dippers a chase on that one!

I know they're not in the Champions League but I was just thinking giddy articles about them going for "a unique treble' must be imminent.
Way-hey!! Bang on cue!!

To all the half-wit hacks, lurking on here... Ye are nothing if not predictably sycophantic motherfuckers. And yet, ye
wonder nobody buys the tripe ye peddle..?

Ah - I did check my past posts, and only saw the ones about using it, but you're more determined that I was :)
It may only be on the match shirts because City were aware there was a potential issue in the first place.

The trademark law bit linked to is almost certainly not relevant because that refers to the registration - which has already happened. I believe that sometimes trademarks can be challenged even after registration, but as Superdry isn't the kind of use they're talking about above, I doubt that'll be an issue.

The reason I replied to the first post, was that people were suggesting the journalists were targeting City, when it wasn't the club's problem. The articles appear to be correct, in that it is City that are being targeted, not Asahi, or Puma. And as that's the case, I was supposing why it might be - and the best I can suggest is that Superdry's trademark only covers the word on clothing (so they can't target the beer), and City are the ones responsible for putting it on the shirts.

I don't know if they'll win, but certainly they won't be laughed out of court, as they appear to have a strong argument. I do suspect that there will be some kind of negotiated agreement, rather than a court case, but that's just a guess.
Again, I respectfully disagree... City have put the sponsor on their training kit... but I would expect that was a requirement of the sponsorship package... Asahi will want their logo seen as a return for investment.
And after the UEFA ban/CAS reporting in the media, I wouldn't believe anything until I hear from the club... and I certainly hope we don't settle or negotiate - i'd have our day in court.
