That’s a point of have tried and usually failed to get across cos certain things are deemed untouchable.

namely, the Hillsborough Stadium disaster. From 1989 I have broadly been in agreement and sympathetic to fans of LFC, what most of them seem to forget or are probably to young and or ignorant to understand is the role of The Sun newspaper in spreading lies, appalling lies. Fast forward a few decades and the shit being thrown at us is based on allegations made by the German equivalent of The Sun. Der Spiegel has had to apologise more than once for fabricating stories and telling lies. It’s really that simple.

The Grauniad went so far as to say that, because CAS did not say “not guilty” but said “UEFA have not proved etc”, we were adjudged not to be innocent but the case was “not proven” as in the Scottish criminal system.
The mixing up of civil and criminal law is commonplace.

Yes I had a bit of a rant about him on here myself. Nothing ott, saying the club should sue him for the stuff he puts out about us and that he was doing so before his bereavement. He, or supposedly somebody who likes him on here, copied and pasted it to him and he put it on his Twitter account. Of course it was taken out of context and implied I'd sent it to him and this was the sort of abuse he suffers for exposing us. I had done nothing of the sort of course just had a rant in a fans forum. Bizarrely he offered to take me out for a meal and talk about it. He kept on asking me to contact him, in spite of me having no means to do so as I didn't have his email and you had to be a blue tick member or something to do so on Twitter.

I did research the death of his wife and feel some sympathy, it was an awful tragedy for himself and his daughters to go through. Anybody with any humanity would feel sorry for him and them. Feeling guilty I issued an apology of sorts here so hopefully the person who thought it a great idea to send my rant to him also sent that. Some friend of Nick he is sending him stuff he would not normally see to upset him further.

The "115 charges" narrative was apprently briefed to some of the media (the Times) shortly before City were told. That could only have come from the PL or a rival club Director who is in the loop with the PL leadership. The PL have been happy to leave that narrative out there and have done nothing to correct it since. It just confirms what we all know: that the PL leadership and some people in the media are still acting in bad faith. The Everton sanction leaked out over last weekend as well. I wonder where that came from.
 
City and the Premier League both preferred to keep details of the investigation private but thanks to the Daily Irresponsimail the proceedings were thrust into the public domain. Details of the hearing and reasons are reported. Thinking about it as objectively as I can as a blue maybe the EPL had little choice to proceed if badgered by another club or clubs, but being aware of the shitstorm that would inevitably ensue, and the nature of the allegations and burden of proof were happy to keep it private, as would City of course, knowing that if the allegations were unfounded/unprovable a withdrawal of the proceedings, with honour on both sides so to speak, would have been easier to achieve.
As it is we have a High Noon type scenario and any settlement, however reasonable, measured and required, would result in howls of “corruption” stitch up” etc. from the usual suspects. Thus City have no choice but to take it to the ultimate of a full hearing in those circumstances unless a formula is available that effectively exonerates City but allows the premier league to save face.
My hope is that something along the lines of
“After a thorough and robust* investigation of all relevant accounting periods it is clear that there has been no breach of the rules by Manchester City. However had Manchester City been more willing to cooperate in production of documents from the outset the matter could have been disposed of in a more timely manner and for that reason we impose a fine of £xxxxx in respect of items x to y - failure to cooperate. Manchester City for their part whilst continuing to consider their actions throughout were justified and in accordance with legal advice are prepared to accept, albeit with reluctance the non cooperation fine to bring this matter to a close.
For the avoidance of any doubt no financial impropriety has taken place nor has any unfair sporting advantage been gained by Manchester City.
On the above basis all parties consider the matter fully and finally closed”
I am not ITK and may well be talking bollocks but I wouldn’t be surprised at all of an outcome along these lines.

If the PL had half a brain among their cabal they'd start putting some of the charges in the bin as we move towards next Fall so that by the time the hearings take place a loss for them won't be on such a massive scale. Save themselves the embarrassment. It's bad enough they've accused a member of the UAE royal family of being an enormous liar. fraud, and cheat on a monumental scale, but imagine this panel having the balls to confirm this on the sketchiest of evidence. The fallout would be insane. Hard for me to see this going in any way other than in one direction. But we shall see...

I think it is very unlikely that anything would be directly leaked by Masters directly. The way these things work is someone else in the loop mentions it to a rival Club Director who mentions it to one of his pals in the media sometimes at a social event. Of course the PL are happy to let some titbits out if they think it helps their case. The irony is that every single smear tactic adds fuel to City's case. The people on the indpendent panel are not stupid and they know how the game works (just like those at CAS).

2008….No one will sign for City.
2009…Only mercenaries will sign for City.
2010…City won’t win anything with mercenaries.
2011…Financial doping, Wenger etc
2012…What City win is worthless.
2013..What about human rights!
