If Bashir can bat better than Leach, we’d have a better varied attack with him.

Stokes loves Leach thojgh, so it might not be totally game over.

After going for 8 an over they stuck with Hartley and he turned it round in the first innings, then became a star in the second.

When Kerrigan has a similar start and didn't get another over and it ruined it.

He will be missed by Lancashire.

Im great at this reverse jinx malarkey me. I will never rate Jack Leach though! Great innings from Pope, he has all the talent in the world great to see him have such an impactful innings in an Away test when we desperately needed it. Put the pressure back on India and they crumbled under it! Good debut for Hartley, hats off to his mental strength after that start. I'd still bring at least one seamer in for the next test. Seam bowlers can be very effective in India imo, especially if you can get some reverse. Stone would be great on these pitches, such a shame he is made of glass.
