Doku for Bernardo
Grealish for Alvarez
And somehow should make a place for Kovačić, Stones and Akanji for better ball control. We made poor 247 passes
Not sure going from no one on the left to everyone on the left is a good plan

Same old story. All the play and plenty of chances (though to be fair most of our shots have been from distance) and yet we concede to their first and only (?) shot of the half.

Haaland been pretty quiet apart from his fine great chance. KDB too apart from his one great pass. I guess why they both play when fit!

I think we've played pretty well apart from a bit of carelessness at the back at times. Keep it going 2nd half, cut out the sloppiness and we should win this.

why do I have a feeling that this weekend when Brentford visit Wolves they will concede like 4 goals first half from about 5 shots total and Flekken has 2 and a half clangers.
Because it’s the usual man city trophy game

Don't exaggerate. We've played well. There's always going to be the odd error against teams playing on the break.
No exaggeration they look dangerous because we aren’t winning that long ball or the second ball. Two poor clearances from Eddie to boot. That’s Neal Mauoay causing us problems he’s turd.

Played okay. Bit of a lack of ideas in how we intend on scoring with the forward players seem to be getting in each other's way a bit.

Big fan of actually shooting from the edge of the box, we are all too often guilty of not taking the shot on so I'm pleased with that aspect.

Just once again, the kamikaze 1v1 defending that we don't need to be doing is costing us goals and is giving them their only chances. Just play with the fucking safety net of the extra man covering ffs.

Doku should be the first sub on, all the space is out wide, giving it to him out there could be our best way through second half if we are struggling. Massive second half. Would be a horrible result if we fail to take 3 points. Plenty of match winners in that side, who's going to step up?

We’ve looked a bit hectic and unsettled, even though we should really be winning.

Not sure I would have started Haaland, and Bernado needs to get in the game. Our formation looks like one you’d have if you were chasing the game with 15-20 minutes left rather than one you’d start with.

We should really be winning this comfortably in the second half but our defending doesn’t inspire confidence, to put it mildly.
