To be honest it was a bit crap. Punt upfield, goal. Not for the first time this season. We are showing lots of fight to come back though, Luton, Everton, Newcastle and now Brentford. It will catch us out eventually though.

I thought it was a well worked goal that caught us by surprise. Class played in the end though and Foden's first just before HT settled the nerves well.

To be honest, I think it was a fair challenge. Aké needed to rough Toney up to get to the ball. I've no issues with the goal, just gutted we got caught with a prehistoric route one hoof up the pitch.

How bitter and twisted are Brentford fans but at least they got to see the best team in the world , one of the worst bunch of small time fans reminded me of when we had our sojourn through third tier of the football league , where Brentford have been for most of their existence.
Our support was loud and proud as usual from our fans , Friday away at Spuds , Monday away at Brentford and we are there in numbers backing our club , superb from our supporters and another good away day
Apart from the schoolboy defending for their goal we controlled the game from minute one , our bench looks so strong as well , we are coming to get you Dippers.

Brentford fans forum giving credit where it's due, saying Foden is class, City best team in the league/world.
Home crowd at the match being described on here as "mouthy", well if that means they got behind their team, fair enough and preferable to the game at the Etihad last week when City scored and the crowd went ... mild.

It's because of how we play, try and stop the chance before it is created, doesn't always work but stats add up.

Absolutely, but it always seems a bit of a lottery with how he connects with the ball when rushing out under a bit of pressure.

I only mention it as he obviously has a good eye from his amazing passing. Something changes when he’s running at the ball.

Away fans superb tonight. I’ve lost my voice.
Before the game they showed a video of them beating us on the screens. Like a proper montage with graphics and stuff. Didn’t have the desired effect.
Small time c**ts.
Oh and their goal was sponsored by Fullers Pride. It’s like 1980 again.

City do exactly the same thing to every team that comes to the Etihad. They only shown a montage of City goals when they win.

Nothing wrong with that in my opinion
