Dyche will scare City’s driver into parking his bus behind theirs in the 6 yard box. Pickford will make a few decent early saves before City’s defence conspire to allow DCL to put Everton ahead with a goal an u6 team would be embarrassed about.

The matchday thread will go into meltdown demanding Guardiola be sacked, Haaland be sold to Madrid on Monday, De Bruyne forced into retirement and Ederson be ritually sacrificed on the pitch at half time.

City will come back and win 4-1 and the matchday minges will insist they were never worried.

Good side, not too dissimilar to what I suggested the other day. Rotation, remain slightly cautious with kdb. Expect that side to win comfortably. Fast start please, doku nunes and foden should wreck their 10 man backline.

Decent line up. Very attacking but not really a team for our usual possession based control game. Perhaps Guardiola is convinced they will defend so deeply that we can afford a bit more of a risk and reward type game.

I wonder which of Nunes and Foden will be central and which wide right (though I guess Doku could be right and Foden left). Personally would prefer Foden central.
