Kick off time 20:00 (GMT). Live on TNT Sports.

Our European title defence starts here to be honest, this is where it ramps up.

They're usually quite hard to beat at home, so I don't think Pep will underestimate them. Of course they beat United but who doesn't these days.
We drew 0-0 with them last time but we had 10 men and it was a dead rubber for us.

Similar team that starting at Brentford for me. Don't think those that came in v Everton did much to stake a claim, maybe Doku before he tired.

---------------Ederson
Walker---Dias---Ake---Gvardiol
------------------Rodri
-------De Bruyne---Alvarez
Bernardo----Haaland------Foden

But get Foden on the ball inside more.

We have Chelsea on the Saturday so we can rest players then...

Excited for this one. Hoping we can get the tie done and dusted before the home leg, as the home leg is on the Wednesday in between Rags at home and Dippers away so will be hoping to rest some players for that one.

Ederson
Walker
Akanji
Dias

Bernardo
Grealish

Should be an exciting watch. They play a very open game from what I remember of their matches against United.

Think the game has come at a good time for us with all the players back and fit. They have had a mid winter break so havnt played a competitive game for 2 months. Also they have 2 starting players suspended Jelert and Lerager so that will effect them.

One of their best players seems to be Elynoussi ex Southampton and he wasnt really a regular in a Southampton side that got relegated.

Obvously they deserve respect and deserved to qualify but they got a draw with Bayern munich when it was a dead rubber for Munich and they likely wouldnt have beat Man U if Rashford hadnt got himself sent off in the first half. So some mitigating circumstances there.

They signed Scott Mckenna from Forest and probably he will start instead of Jelert who is banned. Apart from the 18 year old Bardgjhi there isnt a lot in their squad really but they have a great team ethic.

Their manager has said they didnt really prepare for this game during the winter break and instead they are prioritising winning their league where they are currently 3rd.

Copenhagen is a well pressing team, obviously quite weak in terms of squad, but they do get the best out of themselves.

another funny thing is schedule of the Denmark league, they are on a winter break since early December, so first real match for them is hosting City in CL. and then they continue the league next weekend.

so they should be a bit in like pre season mode, could be quite a fun game.

well done to them humiliating rags in CL group, but now they meet the real Manchester club. we should put up welcome to Manchester banners at the home tie.

Doubt they'll cause us any kind of problems to be honest. Go there and seal the tie, rest players in the second leg. 3-0 City.

We need to be at our best and not underrate them. If we win by many goals, we can afford to rest players in the other leg.

Also this is an opportunity for us to try both Foden and KDB playing together even though I feel like Alvarez will start.

Ederson
Walker Dias Ake
Stones Rodri
Bernardo De Bruyne Foden Doku
Haaland

Bloomin' tough place to go and we must be absolutely at our best to give us a chance of a ruthless scoreline. I personally see it as being a tight scoreline.

Pep will go for control. That was his approach in all away games en route to winning it so I suspect the same will be done here and likely throughout this season. Expect Bernardo and grealish to come in. Going to assume kovacic is unavailable for whatever reason he was today.

Ederson
Walker
Stones
Dias
Ake
Rodri
Bernardo
Kdb
Foden
Grealish
Haaland.

What do you mean by control? Lots of possession? or a little bit more defensive than usual?
Basically prioritising keep ball. Safe options that won't risk losing the ball, hence why I suspect grealish and bernardo will come in. Pep would take a draw away and trust us to win it at home.

Personally, I think we could all but put it to bed in the first leg if we played our normal game but Peps slightly tweaked approach to away games won us the champions league last year so I won't be questioning that.
