Kalvin Phillips

Sounds like he‘s working his ticket, doesn’t want to come back much as Pep definitely won’t want him back now he’s been blabbing to the Sun. Probably been told by his agent to do this to make so City basically give him away.
 
Phillips seems like a nice enough guy, but I think this interview tells us everything about his overall mentality.

If you're not getting into the team, you can respond one of two ways - you can fight or you can give up (and in some cases sulk). It seems like he gave up. I'd have been busting a gut to make sure my weight was good, I was training hard and doing everything to try and get into the team. Surely its common sense to come back to training early if you've barely played for England or City? You shouldn't need Pep or anyone else to tell you that, especially when you're trying to impress him.
 
Not arsed about how this reflects on City. The whole article, whether embellished or not, just implies that our club has very high standards and last season shows why.
The fact he's done an interview like this at all is disappointing, but that he could barely get 15-20 mins at the end of a game to help Rodri says quite a lot. Just not up to it. I'm more pissed off he got Vinny's number 4 shirt!

He should have tried watching his 'performances' on the pitch for us as a fan. That was stress. Out of his depth.
 
Not a great week for Kalvin.
On the bench and asked to come on at 4-0 down.
He‘s looked very half hearted since they brought him on. I know they’ve took a walloping but he’s not had a great performance. Maybe still needs time to get match fit but he looks very slow, especially when tracking back.
 
I always thought he was an energetic ball winning midfielder, but it's certainly not something I've seen from him in his very few appearances for City.

Watching him today, he looks slow and cumbersome, and just can't seem to get around midfield.

Just don't see a situation where he even gets regular game time at West Ham.
