Everton (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

It all depends on what coverage the PL has allowed. They own the rights to it and are entitled to only release footage that they want to.

Your point stands, though. Nobody has even bothered to show the camera phone footage that has been doing the rounds.
Why would they.
It is illegal to video the match at the Etihad.
Might even be a ban coming up.

Yup. The Premier League are CONTROLLING the narrative.

Thinking about the game today, we won it but Peps tinkering made it much harder than it needed to be and unbalanced the side. I realise he's trying to rest and manager players and we got away with it, but we're entering that period of the season where dropping points could be fatal.

I agree making too many changes to the starting line up in the last 3 games.

He mentioned how good Foden is in the small pockets in tight games then sticks him back on the wing after he scored a hat trick in the middle. Still we won, hopefully he won't fuck about as much again.

Hope you’re right. Whilst he’s winning games it’s difficult to criticise him

I thought the 10 extra minutes were quite interesting, it was nearly 5 before an everton player touched the ball, and that was only to give it us to take a free kick, eventually they did win a tackle, but it wass back to us, I would imagine we had the ball for about 9 minutes 45 seconds of the 10. To say everton had given up would be an understatement.

He's the best manager in the world but occasionally he has the odd brain fart on selection.
Yesterday wasn't a brain fart, he was thinking about the team for Tuesday night, rightly so. I didn't like the team much, but I did understand it.

I understand why he made the changes but they totally disrupted the flow of the team.

From what I’ve seen, nobody has actually covered the kick to the head, probably due to no footage being shown of the incident. I’d be very surprised that there would be no official coverage of it so begs the question to why it hasn’t been shown?

Bit of a late reply to this thread but we really huffed and puffed the first half, didn’t create much and struggled to break Everton down. What awful football they play, diving all the time, time wasting too, horrendous football to watch.

We did better in the second half but were still lacking and ponderous in the final third until Pep brought on KDB and Walker. Got quite nervy in that second half, a lot of frustrated groans around me in 306 when we gave the ball away.

Still not convinced by Doku, he creates a lot of headaches for the opposition defence but he just seems to give the ball away needlessly a lot of the time, with some poor decision making when on the edge of the box too.

Fantastic to see Haaland scoring again, I know it’s only been 2 games since he came back but having him firing on all cylinders again and linking up so well with KDB bodes well for the rest of the season.
