That last minute penalty btw, I am convinced it is. He moves his arm to the ball and changes its momentum and direction. I just cannot for the life of me understand why no one else thinks it was a penalty.

The fact we didn’t lose has to be a positive. Chelsea got their tactics spot on and really should have scored 3 or 4. It’s the best a side has played against us since Villa.

The frustration is that in recent seasons we pinch a late winner (we had more than enough chances), keep the winning streak going and send a hammer blow to our rivals.

The ref was utter wank and got three huge calls wrong IMO. Caicedo had to be sent off for that foul. It was reckless, excessive force and clearly endangered Doku. The Walker non-penalty and last minute handball are less obvious. But we’ve seen penalties given for a heck of a lot less this season. It appeared to me that Walker and Sterling were in a race, Walker gets his body in front and Sterling clips him. How the foul went the other way it beggars belief.

However, the real reason we failed to get the three points was the big man up top. He was a freak last season and rightly got all the plaudits he deserved. This season though he’s been shite. He’s probably got a highlight reel of absolute sitters missed as long as his goals catalogue from last season. That needs to change or we will win fuck all this season.

Maybe we took Chelsea to lightly , Stones & Bernardo start in our strongest team , Foden playing wide just depletes the team , not sure why Pep prefers Alvarez over Foden , i just dont see it.

This is deranged to be honest. We didn’t win mainly because of Pep’s team selection completely ruining the first half for us and also due to Haaland playing dog shit.

Our major problem is our midfield. We have no control. We have recruited badly in this area.

Its the selection thats the problem. We have the players to control but pep has a hard on for alvarez and akanji in there.

We went too well and it was dry today and all you can do is move on, We should take something out of getting a draw if you can, We were off the pace and it looked hard going at times, The ball was not dropping to the right people and Haaland properly had too much on is mind with family reasons,

Just getting sick and tired with the game, cheating week in week out.
1) Red top teams opponents seem to get soft early cards. Chelsea had 4 in the first half at Anfield. Us, nah foul at will, its okay. Dippers 19 fouls today, 1 card.
2) 100% nailed on penalty for a red top team at the end. Us, nah nothing to see. on a Day Dippers got away with one of the most blatant penalties you will see and Arsenal awarded one for a dive.
3) 4 minutes added on was a piss take. Arsenal had 10 again today and would have in this game.

That said, we were shocking, esp first half. Akverez in midfield kills us, as does Akanji stepping into midfield. We are dreadful attacking, 5 shots on target from 32 attempts is embarrassing and its been that way all season.

This is why we will fall short this season, forget our leaky defence , we create enough to score 5 plus most games but we are fucking hopeless in putting the ball in the back of the net, even our goal had to take a deflection to go in.
Haaland for all his goals is killing us atm, hardly involved yet last season everything he hit went in and won us games, cant hit a barn door this season, perhaps over achieved, too many award ceremonies and believing his own hype this season. No excuse not to have scored today.

We create chances for fun where Dippers/Arsenal dont but they atm are far far more clinical than us.

The Stones/Akanji into midfield no longer works, teams have sussed it, Alverez is not a midfielder, Doku is not ready, poor team selection today-and we are constantly cut open on the break or by one long pass

We've won 10 and drawn 1 of our last 11 games

The ref was awful and we probably should have a pen. But we shouldn't be needing the refs help to beat midtable teams at home. We have no-one to blame but ourselves for only scoring one goal against an awful team.
