Who's coming to perform at the Co-op arena.

Does anyone remember the advert “It’s all at your Co-op NOW”? Maybe they could put that on the side of the arena?

Piss ups and breweries come to mind………

I might buy a load of crisps and drinks to flog at massively inflated prices to the hungry and thirsty concert goers cos I doubt there will be anywhere for them to go anytime soon.

You will, of course, have a trader's licence for this? Like those guys outside the stadium flogging half and half scarves, flags and badges.

I don't know but according to a lad who works on site, they're having a lot of trouble with water, I'm not sure of it's ground water or from the roof. The other problem, they're miles off schedule and are flooding the site with labour, of which he said was dangerous.

I’ve heard that same story as well.

I was told it was becoming a problem for other construction businesses in the area because the folk involved with the coop building site were poaching skilled workers by offering massive pay packets as they don’t want to miss the finished article target due to the massive financial penalties involved if they do.

A friend of mine is due to start on the site soon and i said the same a few weeks ago.

Shame, but let's hope it gets sorted soon

Final day of the PL season could be interesting if we win the title as Manilow is on a couple of hours later.
Final whistle, pitch invasion, pissing about building the presentation stage, long slow lap of honour and fans leaving as Manilow's octogenarian fans arrive.

Anyone driving to that Manilow gig will have absolutely nowhere to park whether we win the title or not

Yeah, I’m guessing the ICF are going to have it out with the Manilow massive.

BBC Says Peter Kay is doing the opening night, apparently "When you think of Manchester, it's hard not to think of Peter Kay," and he "embodies what this city is about".

What a load of bollocks
