Just listened to both ESPN and BBC pundits talking about how Ten Hag and United can take positives from this match because it wasn’t the blowout everyone expected and the United players worked as a team to stifle City and keep it close.

Meanwhile, in reality…

Just to highlight, they had 41 clearances. In one game of football. Forty-one. Four one. A clearance nearly every other minute of the match.
Tbf to them, they usually look like a collection of players who have just met, have no strategy, and just do any old random shit they feel like.

Today they did all work to a plan, even if it was just to park the bus and throw away the key
.
I'd be embarrassed if we ever went into a big game with a gameplan like that. They did use to be a big club. Not any more.

I see Goldbridge is prominent on social media tonight, the guy is literally a Alan Partridge/ David Brent type character in real life. His popularity is largely down to people viewing his output because of his comedic value.
Anyone who watches that shite thinks crayons are a food group. Be great if there was a filter to ignore any mentions of the guy on here.

It’s a crass football term…. Don’t look to be offended no one is being raped….
To say no one is being raped is a weak reply because it’s basically saying words don’t matter, they’re not actions.

A “football term”? Yeah, course it is … the last time I heard it said was probably in the 70s from some “comedian” as part of a routine. But next time I hear Pep trot it out in his post match analysis, at least I’ll be prepared now.

And I’m not looking to be offended, but if you had someone close to you who’d been a victim of that crime, you might think twice about throwing around a phrase like that. Or at least I’d hope you would. Though I see your reply has a few Likes, so maybe I’m misjudging you and a few other folk.

"This was men against boys... They got battered." - Stevie Nichols

"[Ten Hag's comments in the post-match presser] was like they were coming from a manager in the FA Cup... This was pathetic." - Dan Thomas

"Manchester City were miles better than Manchester United... Any manager can tell his players to stay back and defend in numbers... I just can't see how United thought they were ever a match for City." - Stewart Robson

Let it go …..
