PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Good old ‘doing things the right way’ Leicester surely not!
Next you'll be telling me Wrexham, the Fairytale, Cinderella story Club are being looked into.

Maybe the plan is to charge nearly everyone and then say the problem is so widescale that to continue charging and punishing clubs would be detrimental to the grassroots of the game and that the PL are calling an amnesty for the good of the game as a whole. Wouldn't put it past them.

or ist it a cunning plan from Baldrick down at the PL to charge everyone but certain red tops so they cant join the regroup and then we all carry on as normal but without them

As someone said, it wasn't really in the know City information, just Colin trying to piece things together. That was because of something in the emails about 'H.H securing funding from elsewhere' which was being used as a smoking gun argument.

Someone will be along to clear this up properly no doubt but from memory: I believe there was a belief, based off the open skies court case that involved Etihad, that ADEC(Abu Dhabi Executive Council?) 'likely' paid the money. H.H(His Highness) was said to be a different Royal, who is actually involved with Etihad, at CAS(so Colin was correct about that and it makes much more sense too). So that wouldn't be disguised equity and it wouldn't have involved Sheikh Mansour authorising payments from government funds. However, there may have still been an argument that the accounts weren't showing an accurate reflection of where the money came from, according to some(I seem to remember Der Spiegel made an article exploring that angle of attack).

It was a well reasoned theory and I certainly appreciated reading that take before the CAS hearing. If only to show the know-it-alls, that what was said in the emails could mean any number of things(not just what our rivals wanted it to mean) and only City truly knew the correct context, not Der Spiegel, not UEFA.

However, at CAS, we found out that £8m came from Etihad's marketing budget/fund, the rest came from Etihad's central funds. I believe they even showed accounting data to prove it but I could be mistaken. CAS accepted this explanation either way.

They didn’t accept it as such. They just didn’t accept Uefa’s interpretation of events.

It genuinely astonishes me the stupidity of some football fans (no offence to all of us). Fans now managing to simultaneously think these rules are nonsense but at the same time wanting us thrown out of the league requires mental gymnastics that I can’t comprehend
Especially as Leicester are currently at the same point in the process as us. Both been charged.

This all smacks of pRick Parry and his scouse big picture via the back door.

City are the big fish they are hoping to land but in the meantime they are getting to work on the smaller fry to ensure the bottom half of the league is of equal strength to the European Leagues i.e. Championship level. This will mean squads and wage bills at the cartel clubs can be trimmed whilst fans are price gouged and yes City are very much part of the latter.

let the profits roll in !

They certainly feel that we have been responsible for the rules having to be tightened further and further until their teams are included.

A bit like HMCE having to cover tax loopholes that tax accountants use against lax rules.
Only the rich can use them for a short time then they move on to another tax dodge.

All legal of course but they have to blame somebody.

I am starting to wonder if we have evidence of these other clubs books and we have cornered the premier league to give them no option but to charge these other clubs, just a theory, but shit is going down in the corridors of the premier league and English football, something is going give I feel,

Maybe they should start at the source - united and liverpool.

Which is more corrupt? City with no debt but being charged by the PL with 115 alleged FFP charges or letting those clubs making the most noise about it (United £775 million debt, Liverpool £123 million debt, Arsenal £259 million debt and Spurs £853 million debt) operate despite total debts of nearly £2 billion. We now know that FFP is only there to protect the aforementioned clubs from losing their "entitled" place in footballs hierarchy. Any reason other than that is a total and utter lie. How can we get justice when the Premier League is dictated to by those 4 parasite clubs. Parasites that should put their own houses in order before smearing others.

Rangers were almost destroyed by this kind of kangaroo court full of haters, ten years later it was deemed a malicious prosecution but the damage to the club finances and playing squad were enormous
Teabag is on record as saying that the lack of appeal opportunities increases the chances of being found guilty.
