What has the UK become under the far right influence?

This - which was a staple of my growing up on TV - was discontinued in 1999 on the grounds of costs and it took too many sailors off core activities. Since then Royal Navy spending has been slashed as has numbers of personnel

Seems to be a regular occurance at the races, and yet for some reason, there's never any suggestion to ban alcohol like there is at the football. Funny that.
Think gear plays a bigger part than alcohol. Was at Cheltenham last week for two days, on both sides of the track, and there were plenty of signs of gear use, from the relatively subtle to people keying in plain sight.

violent noisy protesters - where's the Police cracking heads and making arrests under their new powers?

Used to call them NIMBY : Not In My Back Yard.

Hereford was full of them.

Objections in my area to a new housing development that would improve public footpaths - from people who live next to the public footpath. One of them told the committee that they hadn't had notice about it but it turned out that he'd sent in an objection six months ago.

He's hit his profit targets so he's entitled to the bonuses. That a company supplying an essential commodity is allowed to make such excessive profits is an absolute fucking disgrace, though I'm sure our tory members will be along to defend it.

Just let it go bust and nationalise it at a cost of £0.00

The shareholders will just let it fall further into disrepair until they‘ve got us over a barrel, forcing us to pay off their debts, invest our own money, while taking a huge chunk in dividends which they think they’re owed.

Probably under the Tories.

Labour should let them go bust, or run out of cash and when they come begging for a handout offer them £1 for it as it is worthless.

Classic case of ‘privatise the profit, and nationalise the debt’
They‘re still subsidising the railways to the tune of billions with taxpayers’ money.
The absolute lie of a myth of a deceit of a farce of privatisation sold to us by the biggest organised crime gang in history.
