Key Bridge, Baltimore, has collapsed.

Only on Bluemoon could a thread about a tragic bridge collapse outside of the UK (that is unlikely to be related to terrorism) lead to a heated row about American infrastructure design, maintenance, investment, and vulnerability, as well as fervent debate about the quality of South Korean shipbuilding and standard maritime procedure.

Never change, Bluemooners, never change.

You know this isn't remotely as heated as many rows here have gotten, Seb :) It's a downright iceberg comparatively.

Genuinely think if Southgate was in control of this ship it wouldn't have happened.

We’re currently at the stage everyone hears the loud boom and screeching of tearing metal and the crew says there’s nothing to worry about, go on with your normal activities. ;-)

For anyone that doesn't understand scale.

Each one of those wee boxes, is not a lego piece. It is actually one of these.

And 'ere it is on a big lorry, for more relative scale.

Surprised nobody has brought up Harry and Megan yet!

I always wonder how many of these containers must get lost at sea whenever I see one of these ships. They never look secure
Once had delivery of a vehicle moved back two months because mine went down with a ship in the Pacific (apparently the crew were rescued without much trouble, thankfully).
