PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

He's a shoo in for this year's Bluemoon Filibusterer of the year award.

Hope he keeps his acceptance speech short.
There are so many people that I’d like to thank and over the next 8 hours, I think you‘ll start to see why..

I've had another message from HHSM, I was meant to publish it on Monday, but I thought it would get the thread back on topic so, I've gone early, it's very interesting...

A personal message from HHSM

Let me start by thanking my trusted friend @LeonardoDaVnci for the use of his BM account. Although his act of kindness contravenes the forum's cyber security policy, I can assure you Leonardo is no Riu Pinto. Hopefully, that despicable little rodent will rot in prison for many years.

I know there are still some Bluemooners fearful of possible sanctions against our beloved club. This is despite the unrelenting legal efforts to prove our innocence. In order to alleviate this anxiety, I have instructed Khaldoon as follows. In the worst case scenario, eg a 100-point deduction, regrettably, this sanction will be absorbed solely and exclusively by the MCFC Womens team.

It may appear slightly unfair to inflict this punishment upon our sisters. However, they have shown through their indomitable spirit, their indefatigability, and their remarkable resilience that they are more than capable of dealing with this minor setback. They will be back in the WSL, quick as a flash. Thanks to Leonardo for the idea, it was inspired by his Mrs, who was "happy" to take the points after he was caught doing 44 in a 30 zone.

In addition, I have decreed for all remaining home games this season, Chicken Balti pies will be free of charge. Chips are not included due to long-term supply issues.

Apparently she said or wrote something in here. No one else is aware, opposition fans arent taking the piss, no breaking news, literally someone farted and the smell is being argued about.
Mmm, I do love a good analogy!

I get that that happens and people argue for the sake of arguing here. But people do also do it in good faith too, and it is the sheer volume that makes it cyclical and repetative. Many of us probably had this at times where a basic point became laboured, and have probably had such remarks made too. There were 2 basic points among it all, was there any proof, and was it relevant. Proof has been added, opinions on relevance stated. Think it is probably time to move past it.

No they don’t.

When desperate journos throw in the standard "human rights" curve ball while covering City its a pathetic attempt at adopting the moral high ground. Its meant to add to their journalistic integrity, its saying "Look at me everyone, look how good I am, I'm quoting Amnesty International that makes me better then anybody from the UAE". It reeks of hypocrisy, a bit like when The Guardian starts moralizing about the evils of transatlantic slavery when it was founded entirely absolutely 100% by the profits of Slave Traders. But they think its fine to adopt the moral high ground on virtually every societal issue imaginable because one day they printed the words "We're so Sorry".

Look at this from the Amnesty International report for 2022/2023, this is lambasting us the UNITED KINGDOM, not the UAE, but of course this is the type of 'inconvenient truth' that the likes of the BBC/Guardian etc choose to ignore when City bashing.

Having decent accommodation, enough to eat and water that doesn't contain raw sewage are also human rights. Ones that many in the UK don't have.

Emiratis have decent accommodation, education paid for up to tertiary level and good medical services. Better than us in many ways.
