PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

This is the argument i love having with our detractors, basically they are accusing us of dodgy dealing and off the record payments. They have been and continue to demand investigations to try and uncover the evidence but cant find any. And then we are expected to believe the very people who want us charged for dodgy accounting have been bought off with backhanders.

In reality if this was the case all it would take is for one person to come forward as a whistleblower and we would be bang to rights and tarnished forever.

Funny how nobody ever has done isnt it :)
Exactly the point CAS made. The conspiracy required is just not credible.

I meant in terms of spending crazy amounts in order to dominate the league (or at least get into the CL).

Yeah but if your nightmare scenario is “what if someone does a Chelsea” and Chelsea are fine then it’s not really a nightmare?!

See, you've made me go there now

just from 2 minutes looking

What is it you think you’ve found? No one has said F365 never cover the charges (that would be pretty weird), and reporting high profile comments from Liverpools mayor is not evidence of some anti-City editorial policy.

Come on, jeez.

Media literacy on here is awful. We frequently see people mistake a journalist reporting a quote as the journalist saying the quote, as well as blaming news outlets for the accuracy of their user comments FFS.

I read F365 most days because it’s a good aggregator. Sometimes they try a bit hard to be funny, but they’ve got nothing against the club unless your standard is that everyone less committed to City than Pete the badge is part of a campaign against the club.

Then again, there is literally not a single news outlet in the sport that hasn’t been deemed to be part of the rag dipper media conspiracy so I don’t know why I even bother pointing out when someone talks that bollocks for the 8,000th time.

I used to read it, but lately, most of the stories use the same clickbait Media watch calls out on other platforms. The 'expulsion' thing is a good example, where someone said that if the charges were proven it could result in expulsion from the PL, which I don't think would surprise anyone, including City fans, but they're now using it to give the impression that when the 'expulsion' happens, this player is moving to generate clicks from all concerned.

It must work in terms of their overall advertising revenue, but I now avoid them, along with most of the papers, as the headline will have little in common with the actual words. Does result in an echo chamber of news about the charges, but I've given up trying to find proper journalism about them anywhere else.

That's because we've paid them off

Utter lunacy to think people like Nick Harris have anything against City isn’t it?

It was my grandads 90th in December and I bought him the paper from the day he was born as a present.

The one thing I learned is that there’s nothing new about headlines exaggerating or not really linking to articles and/or click bait.

Also, completely insanely, the front page was for classifieds and not news until the last days of WW2.

Nothing. You brought up a wider media conspiracy which I can only think has been mentioned due to other journalists outside of F365.

I brought up believing ALL news outlets are part of a conspiracy against us.

I still don’t see what Nick Harris has to do with that.

Bollocks? F365 are so negative toward City it's not even worth discussing...

I have yet to read an article about City being found innocent and what that means for the integrity of the league?

Do these fuckers never learn? Uefa brought shit and got ridiculed at CAS. The league is an abomination. Won’t even help their teams out who face big European matches.

This is what happens when you allow too much power and greed to fall into the hand of a few.

Fuck it all.

They are all over the fucking place. Is no-one piloting the PL Titanic before it hits an enormous iceberg?

They have an expensive executive structure that needs to be doing a better (sorry, much less bad) job.
As I said on here maybe 6 months ago, there were always going to be changes as Utd have a new owner who wants to spend, the Saudis at Newcastle want to spend,
Boehly wants to spend, Liverpool will inevitably get new owners shortly who will want to spend.

It’s been my position all along that the notion of ‘red shirts who hate city’ is out of date. Boehly and Radcliffe are actively seeking a close alignment with City now who have become the pinnacle to aim at.

It’s also important to acknowledge that Soriano would have a month long erection at the thought of New York City playing Los Angeles United, Liverpool Texans and Chicago Blues.
