Premier League Games (midweek) 23/24/25 April '24

Let’s not forget the other two have to be perfect AND watch us draw one, in the case of Arsenal, and lose one, in the case of Liverpool.

It’s up to the players now. It doesn’t matter how many wins or goals Arsenal or Liverpool get IF CITY do what they need to do.
 
All season and probably other seasons as well teams are run ragged playing us and I won't use the word broken but overwhelmed by the amount of effort to just remain in our games.
It seems to take them a while to regain their confidence, those draws against dippers and arsenal may for all we know set them back and in turn both losing since.

Personally if we win the title from here I think it will be our best ever. We've dropped a small percentage by our own high standards, lost key players through transfers and injury but somehow we were competing on three fronts until last week. In spite of all that we're only seven games from a double. That's incredible. It won't be easy but what an achievement if we do it.
 
If Ruben Dias was less dopey in the game at Stamford Bridge then we would have gotten the 3 points. Chelsea nicked a goal at home and we spent most of our time wasting chances and being vunerable on the counter attack.

4-3 away to that shower of shit suggests it’s the fault of more than one mortal, though. There’s bad voodoo about that team. I wouldn’t look for rational explanations!

Because we are the biggest scalp in the league.
They all want to beat us.
Which makes our achievements over the years even more incredible for me.
As an opposing player no way you don't play out of your skin trying to impress pep ( the best manager in the world) .
You just know if you play well against city as an opposing player pep will speak to you and make you feel like a dog with 10 dicks.
Even as an opponent.
 
Maybe the FA Cup S/F defeat has broken Chelsea for this season? Wish I could steal a living like some of their players are, tho.

He looks like someone who just wants it all to end so he can leave the game and enjoy his fortune. I can’t see him in punditry. He will do a David Batty and just disappear- but not before a stint in the States.

We got the best of his career and I thank him for that.

I was going to go the full hog and have said we had another good penalty shout in that game but thought nah that would be too rational.

Pure incompetence at the Bridge. You don't lose the lead three times in a game if you know what you're doing. Being without one of the best players in the world for half a season didn't help.
They are just one of several mid-table teams where we've pissed away the points this season.
