PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

....I also can't get my head around blues getting giddy about some red spunk bubble sat in his Mums bedroom in Nottingham playing em like a fiddle, he'll produce fuck all of relevance tomorrow, then he'll be laughing at how he's bertied the berties, coz that's what those cunts do.
Exactly that.

No-one knows for certain if any letters have been sent out and currently it seems unlikely that the club will be pursuing organisations or individuals through the courts when / if we are cleared. It would be great to see but the bigger picture is to get cleared and move on.
So just ignore the damage and bend over and pull pants down?

It always makes me laugh, anyone would think that the PL use that lawyer from the Simpsons.

I have a particular soft spot for the numbnuts who actually believe that the organisation that has spent over 4 years trying to prove that we have partaken in illegal financial activities have then taken a bribe from the club.

Fuck me, that supposed bribe would be more damming than any evidence they could hope to expose.
Yes apparently we have bribed all the independent Auditors for the last 13 years, the Judges at CAS, our sponsors, and now the Premier League leadership and the independent panel. That would be a conspiracy involving hundreds of people, perhaps thousands if you include our senior Mangers and Directors past and present. And throughout all this time not a single person has blown the whistle. Everyone loves a conspiracy theory these days but this one seems a bit of a stretch.

Was away over the weekend and saw a red i know. Decent enough bloke, good job, seemingly a sensible man

Told him of the rumours that charges have been dropped, told him what the city lawyer told me. His reply …

“Well youve obviously bribed someone”.

I laughed as i thought he was joking but no, he was deadly serious. I asked what he means and he said , “youve bribed the FA”.

The FA? What we have drove to london with a bag of cash to bribe ‘The FA’. Couldnt be arsed going into it as regards what the fuck the FA have to do with all this, nor how he thinks the bribe went down.

He then said “if you get away with it then forest and everton should sue”

Thats what we are up against. Idiots

I hope and pray that we're cleared of all charges ( allegations ), I just find it very hard to believe that all charges have been dropped and the Premier league are looking for an escape route.
They've spent years digging around, searching for something to nail us on, they've engaged top lawyers to act on there behalf, this is the biggest potential scandal in English football history, they must be confident they've found something, somewhere.
Proving it is a different matter.
We've kept quite through the whole process, now we're apparently sending legal letters and leaking info about the process of the case, i just cant see it.

it seems to me that the charges against City are little short of allegations of criminality. Fraud, false accounting, tax fraud, multiple breaches of Companies Acts etc. To all intents and purposes theyve basically said that City fabricated the annual accounts for several years.

I expect that those top lawyers they’ve engaged would have advised them that if it became clear that the charges wouldn’t stick, they would have to withdraw them at the earliest opportunity

Sod Brent simply forget him i aint even a City fan but what club in there right mind would start constriction on a project that was gonna cist them hundreds of millions of pounds if they knew that they where in bother ????

That alone as soon as the foundations where laid was a huge indication as what was coming

It boils down to the Prem under guidance/orders doing what the red clubs +1 wanted , they went into it half hearted with what they thought they had as evidence, and now it's reached the lawyer stage both sets of lawyers are laughing at the "evidence" presented . So now it's face saving time for the prem hoping that City will play along with a story/plan that leaves the prem with some integrity going forward, we need to ensure we demand huge changes in the makeup of the premier league and how it's run, if the prem feel that they can't do it then we need to raze it to the ground and ensure that a better, fairer way of playing football in this country is put in place .

Fabricating accounts is a massive criminal offence tbf

There is a media organization that all of us are legally forced to subscribe to, it's called the BBC and the annual fee is currently £169.50. They are absolutely front and central on the constant attacks into City and have been from day one. The content used by Der Spiegel and the Sunday Times was all provided by a group called "European Investigative Collaborations", (https://eic.network/) the BBC are quite open about their leading role in that group. Last summer after the treble victory they ran a "115 Charges" story on BBC World presented by Ross Atkins. It was an absolute hatchet job that could have been scripted on Rag Cafe. Right at the very end after five minutes of besmirching the club, smearing the owners and sponsors it ended with the cursory "City deny any wrong doing". It's estimated that 320 million people watch BBC World. Although the BBC coverage of Co-Live morphed into a weird rant about Ms Tiffin on here, it was a perfect illustration how a good news story was turned into an attack on MCFC. There are far too many examples of Dan Roan and Simon Stone attacks to be mentioned here.

So I would say the BBC is the absolute litmus test of any change or moderation in the media treatment of the "115 Charges". I'll be watching them in the next few day...

[aside] has anyone noticed how they never mention anything negative about the owners of MCFC in the coverage of the Women's team. That must be caused by a "clash of BBC agendas"...

But if we expect the charges to be dropped, wouldnt we wait until they had and then send In the big legal tanks?

No, Because they all would still think we are guilty and paid ourselves out of trouble, This way it Stops them in their tracks and before they all say it, The Issued letters are warnings Manchester City has had enough of this witch hunt by the media and other clubs and their fans,

What’s your basis for that? Do you know it’s not happened or are you speculating? If so what’s are you basing the speculation on? Genuinely interested. I’ve noticed a deliberate tone change with some media in the past week which could be subconscious bias based on reading bits on Twitter by me or could be a consequence of the club making moves.
I’m not sure the club would bother with that fake rag twat though. Seems a bit basic considering the huge size of the project.
It's tricky proving something didn't happen unless you're Trump or Johnson.
See reply to Tolmie for the context.

No one is legally forced to subscribe to the BBC.
