Winter kept saying....."have they broke any rules?".

Custis says "No, but they circumnavigated it, a rule brought in to protect young vulnerable African players from being exploited"

Winter: "So you are suggesting this young white14 year old, guided by wealthy American parents is being exploited?"

Custis: "No, no no but the rules are the rules"!

Winter again: "Did they break any?"

Conversation is then swiftly shifted to the 115!

& that is what has been missing for the last 15 years.

People on the left don't read the Guardian.

It's why no one reads it and it's business model is fucked. No idea who they are actually aimed towards.

It just seems to be a place for people who hate themselves and their life go to write/moan about everything.
Doctors, university lecturers and teachers.

Liverpool’s chance went with two games to go Arsenal have an opportunity to win if and it will go to the final day. I can’t remember three clubs taking it this far for a long time. If and that’s a big if, City retain the Premier League it’s some run they have been on since losing to Villa in deepest December to be at this point. Don’t see the press giving any credit though.

Darren Fletcher on the Friday night pod was laying into everyone for not giving the credit. He was a lonely voice of reason against some very thick City bingo.

It's the new type of liberal who reads it, left wingers aren't that daft. If you hate the UK then the Guardian is the place for you.

Absolutely - the ex shite England goalie Paul Robinson - as moronic as Merson - pipes up, when talking about how good City are, "Yes, but what about the 115 charges? Let's address the elephant in the room...."
And I thought, "..Paul, you really shouldn't denigrate your own appearance in this way..." switching off, before my mind was further tainted by the shite he was about to spew.

I had the displeasure of stumbling across that Liew article this morning. Amongst the deluge of inflammatory nonsense littered throughout, this paragraph caught my eye:

"There is a school of thought out there that City is a club driven by grudges and enmities, fuelled by antagonism and spoiling for scraps at any opportunity. Perhaps this is true at a boardroom level, or on the wild frontiers of the internet, where City fans remain unrivalled in their capacity to nurture conspiracy theories and illusory slights, desperate to be hated."

Sadly Liew is too much of a coward to allow comments on the article, but we all know he and his peers can't stay off Bluemoon...

I don't know any City fan that's desperate to be hated, we don't need to be, it is evidence enough when we scroll through social media passing multiple posts obsessing about our attendances, or read a once credible newspaper, as it criticises the conduct of our supporters.

Liew and his peers seem determined to somehow try to undermine City's achievements in order to placate their partisan readership, but their influence is minimal and their short-sightedness is wildly missing the bigger picture. Football is a global game and City are the hottest ticket in town. Note the comments of recent City Group youth signing, American teenager Cavan Sullivan "I always watch Man City. They're like every kid's dream team." Liew and co, read that and drink it in...
He's not interested in the truth, he's only interested in fueling/feeding his red shirt wearing target audience.

Another know nowt.

One look at Master Jonathan Liew tells you all you need to know. Creepy. Weirdo. I'm guessing Home counties. Obviously marginalised at school. The bearer of many grudges. He spends most of his time lying on his bed, staring at the Dennis Bergkamp poster on the ceiling, dreaming up the drivel he produces. Once he's cleaned himself up and hid the tissues under the bed, it's off to the laptop. Tw*t. (John Cooper Clarke).
Perfect description of the little turd.

I only read this article today, but could not believe how biased and bitter it was. I've let The Guardian know my thoughts. I feel that it is increasingly necessary to call things out...perhaps I am a sad bastard. My guess that they are a Liverpool fan is tongue in cheek as it is stated clearly on Wiki. Here is my little note to The Guardian.

Hello, I read this article below.

It is a total disservice to both Arsenal and Manchester City who are both in a rich vein of form in one of the most competitive football leagues in the world. It was only recently that Liverpool fell out of the title race.

I feel that this article is a very negative and biased assessment of a very close battle between two very good teams. It is likely to go to the last game of the season. Most other major leagues across Europe have already been decided unlike the Premier League this year.

It reads as though the writer is possibly a little bit bitter about something, and I will hazard a guess that the journalist that wrote this is a fan of another club, possibly Liverpool.

I would expect The Guardian to deliver high quality and balanced articles, but sadly this article is very negative and partisan. A shame really, rather than being negative, why not celebrate a close run title race instead?

Best Regards

‘I would expect The Guardian to deliver high quality balanced articles’ LOL on what subject? I genuinely wouldn’t wipe my arse on that rag.

Enjoying the brilliant Alyson Rudds column in the Sunday Times.

Subject of her article is autographs but as per usual it’s a fawning love letter to LFC.

Really puts that Martin Samuel in the shade with his ridiculous well thought out non biased views.
How the fuck she gets away with the absolute utter drivel she writes in The Times is beyond me. It really is fanzine level stuff.

I wouldn’t piss on Jonathan Liew if he was on fire….or maybe I would :) Tough call.
