PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

If I had to to surmise and there are far better posters than me on here, is it they're trying to enforce 2019 rules into 2011 alleged breaches.
If there's no compromise and a full hearing goes ahead and either party appeal we could still be 18 months away, not good for City and there's no way Masters could survive that.

There was a press report that City had sought clarification that rules changes couldn't be applied retrospectively. I would have thought this was a pretty straight forward point of law. This could have been something to do with Mancini, or to the provision of external information, I think. But we don't know yet.

If the panel concludes in the autumn as people expect with a decision early next year, there will be a detailed report at that time, even if there is a later appeal, so we will know what has been going on.

I wouldn't worry about City. Delays don't really affect the club at all. They affect the fans more. But they affect the PL the most. It's so stupid of them to let it get this far.

Clichy played for us and Henry played for Pep, Owen even though he's a crap pundit and his rag dipper connections doesn't seem to hate City that much.
That’s what threw me.
Wasn’t expecting such positivity from Owen.
The other two, yes. It’s understandable.
But Henry in particular, gave great insight. He was extremely complimentary about the football intellect of Kev.
It was really refreshing to hear pundits just talk about the football they see in front of them, and to rate it properly in the context of history and consistency.

Even he can’t afford the price of a pie at the ground anymore.
Ha ha,

However, I do like a Steak Pie at the ground and it's about a fiver.

I had pie and chips from the Chippy before the game on Sunday.

Pie £2.50 and literally half the size of the City pie, they do not compare size or quality wise.

Thanks for sharing. That's one of the most insightful and balanced articles I've read on City in years. Fascinating to learn how key moments in the season played out and although the charges are mentioned, it isn't done in a snide or defamatory way. It's a shame this type of coverage of City is so few and far between.

And for the lurking 'journalists' on here (you know who you are) this is how to write an article. Perhaps there's a reason it was published in the Times and not the two bit rags you work for.

Fair play, they keep coming

We've just achieved something never before achieved in English football history, to add to the domestic treble and 100 points. This Pep team is immortal and will be remembered long, long after Neal Maupay (who's achieved fuck all in his career) is forgotten.

They gambled that Everton and Forest would absorb points deductions, unfortunately Luton or Burnley could muster enough so they would be tied up in more Litigation and legal costs.

The slurs on our club has been and is relentless. It reaches a crescendo after every trophy we win. I'm not sure if the hierarchy realise just how damaging this is. It's a form of brainwashing and it's worked. No matter what the outcome of the hearing it's gone on for so.long that 99% of fans of other clubs will never believe or accept our innocence, even if that's the result. In time they will realise they lost the propaganda war and fought it poorly.

The problem is that the PL rules are pretty generic (Clubs must show utmost good faith, Clubs must submit accurate accounts, etc.). There's only one number in there, which is the £105m losses over 3 years.

Whereas UEFA's FFP rules contain a lot of relevant parameters and are quite specific in many areas.

Sad **** whose only relevance today is slagging City off with such unsubstantiated shit
Evra on City being Champions again "things would be different if a bigger club won it". Who are these bigger clubs? Surely not teams in red whose sense of entitlement precludes any interlopers? They like to patronise plucky losers.

Manchester City are now part of the elite in world football and recognised as amongst the biggest by most metrics. The rags, dippers and now arse have been broken trying to challenge City on and off the field and are playing catch up. The irony is they have become the "plucky losers" feted in the media.

Evra had his time in the sun but now lives under a rock. He cannot grasp that things have changed and that City are simply better in every department. He is one of those people who prefer to think City cheat or rig things to win rather than address their own club deficiencies.

Most English football fans do not support the "bigger clubs". Evras reaction is that you would expect from a smaller lower league side for whom all Premier League success is irrelevant as they never expect to be part of it. However, to assume they do not value their club achievements or that they are meaningless is Evras logic. Who cares what other clubs or fans think?

I'll condense that summary down for you. Evra is a ****. Always had been and always will be. As he ages he becomes an even bigger ****.

He's a bitter ****. If he was truly not bothered about little old City why is he always talking about us. We never talk about him because we aren't arsed about him at all.

It must effect the club we have to negotiate player transfers and sponsorship deals
Some of those could get jittery if I was a top top player
I would have 2 questions.
How long is Pep staying and what’s the script with these charges
That’s if I didn’t decide to sign elsewhere
We need them gone ASAP so our already tarnished reputation can be restored
