PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

It's naive in the extreme to think all clubs don't discuss ways to get around FFP but it was fucking stupid to put it in emails in an unsecured environment. And look what happened.

At the very least this breaks a number of PL rules I would imagine.

But yes, I doubt the club are bothered.
It shows stupidity by Ashworth which can’t be a bad thing for us as he is going to United. I wonder who leaked it to the Mail though, presumably someone at Newcastle. It also does look a bit stupid for Berrada to be using Ineos accounts. I am sure most people do freelance work on gardening leave but surely not on their new employer’s network.

It shouldn’t have happened & it’s no excuse saying that it would happen in other industries. If it did there would be repercussions but I am absolutely certain the rags will get away without any PL charges. After all - why would you raise charges against yourself LOL

Especially not in a court. United making an illegal approach to a Newcastle employee has zero relevance to whether City have breached financial rules.

In fact it would probably annoy the commission due to the time wasted discussing something that has no relevance to the case at hand.
It does show a broad culture of commercial rivals leaking confidential info to the media. I wonder if the Mail has some more dirt on Ashworth or Berrada. Probably not but I don’t think Ratcliffe will be happy. He is trying to clean up things at the Rags.

If anyone does complain and raise charges then surely it would be Newcastle? At the least it will force them lot to compensate Newcastle for his loss of services and I suspect the figure being bandied about between themselves has doubled. It's all to the good :)

Agreed. And clumsiness over the sharing of information in emails isn’t a particularly good look for the individuals involved, given what happened with City.

You have to say the British media have done a cracking job in getting the general population to howl at the moon in regards to the charges. If City are cleared of these allegations it will result in an independent selected by the Premier League panel and also the highest sports court in the land in CAS exonerating City. Where will these idiots have left to go to in hoping for the clubs downfall. Hiding behind arguments that City bribed two hearings to get a result they wanted should be met with strong actions from not only City’s legal team but also the people attached to this independent panel.

Nick Harris has been at it again with some pissed up midnight tweets going on about City’s guilt. The man is obsessed. Couldn’t even praise Pep without mentioning he once failed a drugs test. He comes across as one bitter individual.

All the time they are obsessed with this, they are taking their eye off the ball and the long game, which is, as a club we get stronger, with possibly more commercial growth again. They really need to step up their game instead of using petty actions to hold us back and market their own products, instead of killing their golden goose.
