PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

It's caused by the CAS decision being so poorly explained, 'journalists' either not understanding or downright misrepresenting. Creating 'outrage' stories where there are none, i.e. the choosing of the three people on the CAS panel.

People have then filled the gaps in with conspiracy theories, corruption, brown evelopes, etc.

Perhaps City should have corrected the lies and misinformation in these stories publicly?

Keeping quiet about it hasn't helped as City are still being accused and criticised over the CAS report.

It's going to be even worse if, as we all hope, we're exonerated.

I agree with the keeping quiet mate to be fair, we have allowed the media to tarnish the club and its reputation

I understand what you are saying.
But it does allow the rags to get down to work early which was why the gardening leave was agreed .
We didn't want them to get a jump on next season
At their level the period of notice to quit can be 6 months and more, the gardening leave is to keep them away from their current employers daily work as they (City in this case) are still contractually bound to pay him whatever is in the contract. He's obviously not supposed to start any work for whoever he's going to but given Scruffy Jim's comments about having had a grown up conversation with City then I can't see City complaining. City always seem to act with the utmost good faith to everybody, which makes some of the PL's charges amusing.

“Lads let’s put silly odds on City getting relegated and have some 115 charges banter on social media! We can get half a dozen memes out of this and maybe ever trick some dumb United fans into lumping on”.

If they actually wanted to cover their asses, they’d put a small clause to exclude relegation by a PL panel in the small print.

Fred Done is paying out already

“They’ve threatened to pull state funding out of the UK”
It’s not a threat it’s a promise.

Funny that he lists the clubs that have been found guilty of FFP breaches (Everton and Forest) but does not mention Manchester United as a club to boycott, because they failed Uefa FFP and will be Failing Premier League FFP

We’re still waiting on the scums PL FFP charges and the outrage.

Why would the Uk want ill gotten, human rights abusing Abu Dhabi money anyway?

So we have threatened to pull money you are morally against anyway?

Nut jobs everywhere. City sack pep and go back to being shit. Only then will we not be the focus of attention.

Ultimately. Whomever this plank supports lost and he can’t deal with it. Human garbage at is most putrid.

Interestingly, the state owned Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (with our owner a board member) has launched a 5 billion bid to acquire Hargreaves Lansdown, one of the UK's largest fund managers.
