Let’s hope so.It will go down more rapidly than it went up. Might end up saving the planet.

Obviously not disagreeing on FPTP, but that’s still not quite as damaging as the fuckwits who control the media and pump out endless lies entirely for their own agenda. My disdain for FPTP is well documented (by me) but there’s no denying its ability to wipe a sitting government out.
But for me, that doesn’t begin to mitigate its long-term damage to this country. Not even close.
And take "donations" from the mentally simple and gullible. Straight from the Trump playbook.Of course it’s a grift, covering all bases now that Trump has been found guilty. If he doesn’t get in he’ll be off to the US to chance his arm and if he does then he gets the MPs wage while doing fuck all for it, apart from getting a couple of minutes in the Commons to remind us of his bile.
Reform aren’t there as a serious party, they are there who influence things, nothing more.
Only now have they started their own space race.Super rich people have wanted to get off the planet for as long as we’ve known about other planets to be fair.
The ‘Smethwick’ metre would be the one to choose! What metric(s) are you using?
Ye famine and global warming will probably do that.It will go down more rapidly than it went up. Might end up saving the planet.
But who would do their bidding once they went? Us plebs couldn’t afford to go.Super rich people have wanted to get off the planet for as long as we’ve known about other planets to be fair.

I don't see why they would this time.I wouldn’t be surprised if they did a 11th hour deal with the tories .
If 20% of the 2019 Clacton Tories switched to Labour and half of the rest went to Reform, Labour would win. That’s without taking into account those that won’t bother this time which will impact the Tories more.I don't see why they would this time.
Last time out Brexit was at genuine risk. If they had stood and split the vote enough Corbyn would have got in and the majority of Parliament would have demanded a 2nd ref and brexit would have died a slow death.
This time there is zero consequence for them if they annihilate the tories. Labour are in anyway.
Farage is an agitator. He will love this campaign. He will then be a terrible MP if he gets in.
Hope the tories beat him. If was Starmer I'd stand down the Clacton candidate.

Should be the nail in the coffin for the Tories though, that 66 seat prediction could come down by 15-20.
As an optimist, I am hopeful that the conservatives being wiped off the floor in one general election shows Labour and everyone else that it can and will happen to them if they try to embrace fringe extremist ideologies.

Agree a Labour victory there would be a long shot but it would be funny as fuck if it happened. I think a Farage win is the most likely outcome bearing in mind it’s the only constituency that UKIP have ever won in an election.Survation did some hypothetical polling (which is obviously very shaky, but apparently was a private contract aimed at persuading Farage to stand). Unfortunately it suggested Labour's vote in Clacton could actually go down slightly if Farage stands.
Bear in mind, Labour's vote has gone up quite a lot since the last election, and some of those will be the social conservatives/leavers that Boris appealed to, and that Farage is may be able to attract.
Saddest thing about Farage is that he’s only in it for himself and what he can grift. Doesn’t give the first shit about anybody in the country, or even in Clacton for that matter. Hilariously, he does it by pretending he’s ’one of us’. The biggest indictment of the education sector is people believe him……I think extremisf ideologies is pushing things a little too far. I wouldn't class Corbyn or Farage like that.

Whatever ones criticisms of Corbin might be, self aggrandisement would never be one of them.
