Just a quick question to those who are disappointed in our club taking this action.
What would you have them do instead? Would you have them meekly accept that our commercial and sporting rivals - an executive of one of which who has apparently made, let’s be charitable here, “discriminatory noises” about our club and executive team/ownership - should also have the right to decide how much sponsorship City are allowed to have? And from whom it should come?

We have tried that for 16 years and been progressively and repeatedly slapped down by the PL. Over and over again.

What more could the club do without finally resorting to the law? How many more insults should they accept? How many more sponsorships should they see go begging on account of the PL’s blatant racism (at worst) or protectionism (at best)?

How many more times should our executive team see their efforts to build this team, this club, this deprived area of Manchester and all its’ inhabitants up to world class standards be stymied because they are too brown/too Muslim/too good at it whilst our rivals see much bigger deals being waived through on a nod, a wink, a straight arm salute?

Win or lose this action I for one am more than proud of my clubs actions today. I’m humbled by it.

We didn’t start this fight. We tried to stop it ever becoming a fight. We tried to be decent and professional about it. We failed because we were never going to be allowed to succeed.

Thst is what the law is for. And I am glad, proud, and relieved that this club, my club, our club, have finally said “Enough. This far and not one step further”

If that makes no marks and twats on social media give you a hard time, stand up and fight for your club.
They’re fighting for you.

We lodged this action back in February, at which point I don’t think the panel had been picked, had it?

Where is the press release from the club!?!!

I’m not misremembering here am I? both Everton and Forest issued press releases and both on and off the record briefings when they launched their appeals.

City sue the PL and its radio silence. No one to explain what’s happening or why, or shape the discussion.

It will take 3 months for the public to realise this isn’t about the 115 charges case and even then half of them will mistakenly think it still is.

PL rules require confidentiality. History tells us the club won't break that. Nor will the PL, I imagine.

Surely they are guilty of with holding information then. Funny how the Pl which in reality is the 3 Red Cunts Spurs plus a few deluded clubs suddenly declare their members have damning information on one of its own members. The house of cards is about to collapse

In Feb new rules were brought in, at the behest of the redshirts and spurs, that gave the PL very broad powers to stop investment on the flimsiest of 'associations' between club owners and potential sponsors.

So not the Related Party rules but the new Associated Party rules.

The club is taking action against these new rules and are pointing out that they are being used against clubs with Gulf State connections.

That's what I have taken from it.

The story in the Time's is typically written in emotive language that puts City in a bad light and somehow connects these challenges with the 115 charges.

City have so far said nothing so expect the usual suspects in the media to criticise us, see it as a diversion and delaying tactic, etc, etc.

Presumably only clubs at the same level could do anything like that and they probably have bigger ones. I don’t get why 6/7 other clubs other than the usual suspects would get involved. Maybe it just makes the article sound better and more convincing! All successful sports players get more sponsorship than those that aren’t.
