City launch legal action against the Premier League | Club & PL reach settlement | Proceedings dropped (p1147)

Does it matter what other clubs think either in favour or against what we are saying?

If it’s judged to be unlawful it will be stopped otherwise it won’t

Also why am I not surprised that sky sports in the space of 24 hours have gone from saying this is nothing to do with the main allegations to saying they are intrinsically linked

City aren’t alone. It’s a start. And it sends a message to Masters and the PL.

EXCLUSIVE BY MIKE KEEGAN: At least three clubs have sympathy for Manchester City's position after they declared war on the Premier League over spending rules. Mail Sport understands that Newcastle among those who believe the champions have valid concerns ahead of a hearing on Monday at which City will attempt to get rules that limit how much companies linked to club owners can spend on sponsorship deals thrown out. While only one of the group - thought to be Chelsea - has provided a statement which challenges the updated rules on associated party transactions (APT), it is understood that Villa co-owner, the Egyptian billionaire Nassef Sawiris, is close to City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak and that he shares frustrations over imposed limits on spending.

Why did he need to mention the Villa guy is Egyptian?

City should really boil some piss and announce some new large sponsorship deals with companies not from the UAE. Khaldoon's blackbook of contacts must be off the scale.

I think they only consider the sponsorship deals worth over £1m, so there should be nothing stopping us setting up a ton of deals worth £999,999 from the UAE...

He's the most high profile ex-City player in the UK media.

He's regularly on sky sports, the BBC and the top football podcasts in this country.

I don't think he's a great pundit but he's supposedly a City ambassador, so if not him to help our case in the media, then who else?
Nedum Onuoha, all day long.

Well I'm.for.sure exhausted by all.of this now.
Seems.never ending.

Listened to this on the way. Was really surprised by how Matterface & Murphy didn't try to interrupt or talk over Stefan. Quite a balanced piece by Talkshite.

Sure others will have a view, but Murphy especially seemed to just want to understand it.

Have to say once you do, it seems a bit of a damp squib.
