I'm sure they will want to buy them, at the right priceAnd what happens if the other 2/3s of clubs don't want to buy any of their players?
All of this really is mental (not you @schfc6 , just the situation these rules have produced).

The 115 charges and these current Associated Party issues are tiresome and wear you down after a while. My love for the game is wavering and the constant attacks by the media are draining. I hope I am wrong, but I'm not confident we are going to succeed in the revision of Associated Party transaction rule.
On the one hand they're saying there's no money for the EFL if we win.
But on the other hand if we do win clubs can spend as much as they want.
Meaning they've got much more money coming in and that'd enable them to pay the EFL.
It's all contradictional bollocks.
?What does And I think?

While posting about apple continuously ;)But Nokia fans tell me so often that they don't care about Apple.
As long as the red cartel get to pick the best players, from their rivals at bargin prices, job done.I agree, to some extent.
This is just how it is right now. We don't know what the situation will be in 2 years say. It currently isn't too far from being half the clubs need to sell. If it gets to the point where more than half need to sell and less than half are allowed to buy, then there will be clubs getting into proper problems.
They go along with it because it makes it harder for teams coming up from the championship to compete, if they have a bad season they are less likely to be relegated and off the premier league gravy train.Never get why teams like Fulham, Brighton. West ham for example cosy up to the fuckers. It's like the said teams are happy to sit and challenge for the odd Europa Conference position and a good cup run. Zero ambition!
It's like they are happy to look up and never be a part of the elite, as long as they finish higher than 18th position every season.
Agreed. I think the club should have been more proactive in the past but it would be crazy to say anything in the current climate of hate. There is an ongoing orchestrated smear campaign from significant elements of the UK media. There has been no attempt at balance by anyone. Everything City say is twisted and distorted. There is no point engaging with a mob of angry people with pitchforks. No other club has ever been treated like this in this country.I use to think the clubs PR was poor. But I have changed my mind.
I don't see what would be gained by City coming out with statement after statement, it would just add fuel to the fuel. Plus the press/media would use any statement against us.
We are guilty in most people's eyes so just putting out statement after statement will make zero difference.
I have now adopted the same approach when other fans say shit, I just smile and don't get involved.
Second paragrapgh...
Premier League’s rules on sponsorship deals, which forbid related companies (such as Etihad Airways sponsoring a team backed by Abu Dhabi)
I'm fairly certain Etihad aren't classed as a related party? not that the they let the truth get in the way of a story.
If we lose a biased version of events will be leaked to the press within 30 seconds. That's the way all these proceedings have worked so far. This means that while the arbitration proceedings are confidential and conducted in private, the written award is shared with theparties and the Board and the Chair of the Judicial Panel. If the award includes decisions that have broader implications, an anonymised summary may be distributed to the Clubs, provided there is agreement from the parties involved.
- Rule X.31 specifies: "The award shall be in writing and shall contain reasons for the tribunal’s decision. A copy of it shall be provided to the Board and to the Chair of the Judicial Panel. Where the award contains decisions on points of law or interpretation that the Chair of the Judicial Panel considers to be of wider application or use to the Board and Clubs, with the agreement of the parties to the arbitration, he/she may produce and circulate to the Board (for distribution to Clubs) an anonymised summary of the award."
No provision for wider release but maybe they will agree to that
Sadly I think you are right. Geopolitics has played its part in this whole saga. CFG faced a lot of opposition to their stadium proposals in New York City. Some of the usual Arab-hating suspects were involved and that has been echoed here by the racists in the English media. Some people can only see the world through a filter of sectarian hate“one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter”.
GW Bush tenure may be remembered for his line “You are either with us or against us”
Do you see any parallels with us yet?
In the world of the Yankee dollar, your cause is defined as right or wrong based on how you align with the West.Causes that do not align are vilified by the Western Press.
And this is the Classic US playbook. We dare challenge the profiteering of yank owners. They want a race to the bottom or at least the status quo to maintain its existence.
The alternate theory -City, Newcastle are your terrorists or to us freedom fighters. These freedom fighters nearly always fight for a good cause. The non alignment translates to terrorists in the eyes of the West.
A Yankee driven West that fears a City,Villa,Newcastle axis that will change the old order and wipe away hopes of profiteering.
And that to me is a holistic view of the constant battle we face.
He did. He also said that if we won at CAS he would shout about our innocence from the rooftops. Yet nearly 4 years on, we're still fucking waiting! The Syed article is racist from start to finish. It is based on a false premise that City are "run by Abu Dhabi" when the club is owned by Sheikh Mansour as a personal invesment and Silver Lake. Even by his standards it is despicable. Didn't he previously liken City fans to sewer rats?
Apologies if linked already but the, brief, discussion at the start of the Price of Football pod is a good analysis of what's going on. Aided by the fact Kevin Maguire had access to the 165 page doc
There is no logical reason why the two issues are in any way connected to one another.
