I see that Leicester after just gaining promotion are going to have to sell in order to meet the PSR rules, as if it isnt hard enough to survive after promotion.
It's a great question because CFG are the biggest investors in the city of Manchester and the most important partner the local authority has got. Thousands of jobs and hundreds of businesses are being put under threat beacuse of a politically-motivated witchunt by a corrupt cartel and a racist UK media.Saw this and without side tracking this thread (flattering myself!) I thought what are the Manchester MPs and the Mayor doing whilst this hate fest goes on against a Manchester club?
It's needed now because the so called "big clubs" have been completely taken over. The powers that be are trying to put a stop to it.
It's funny reading the likes of "All football clubs and fans want is a level playing field"...
Eh, There's never been a level playing field, The Rags have spent more than anybody else in the Premier League (still doing it to this day), They were successful years ago because they bought up every top player whilst the rest of the league hadn't a pot to piss in...
Real Madrid with all the Galacticos, No moaning about that either, Apparently it was great that they were spending millions buying all the top players!
The so called "elite" are throwing their toys out of the pram now because little City are winning everything, They succeeded in stopping Newcastle spending money because they are afraid of there lives that they'll also overtake them all (which they would have).
Although it's OK for your stadium to be falling apart, Being £900m in debt, Yet still spend £80m on 32 year olds...That's fine.
You make it sound like the Home Office rules are applied objectively all of the time but, there are loads of anomalies.
To be fair it's not a political point I am making. City have plenty of allies in the Labour ranks who will fight our corner moving forward, not least because Labour are just as keen on an independent regulator as the outgoing Tories were. I just think Burnham has been ineffective as a Mayor for Greater Manchester and I don't think that is an uncommon view.to busy for us, he's busy with keir Starmer and the rest of the Labour chums sucking freebies up at the swamp while planning how there going to explain a billion pound stadium to the taxpayer
Agreed but there are numerous examples of big clubs getting preferential treatment.Probably. But that is not the Premier league deliberately stopping us having a player.

Kin scouser, he’ll take no noticeI've sent a little note to Andy Burnham.
Man City have raised a legal query regarding the Premier League rules. The press coverage has been generally hysterical. I have yet to see a major media outlet say that if the Premier League rules are deemed illegal then Man City's challenge is justified. We live in a democratic society where we should all be able to reasonably challenge the process. That is all Man City have done. Andy, are you going to at least provide some balance by making a statement? Man City have invested heavily in Manchester and created a lot of quality jobs for local people. As Mayor of Manchester this is an opportunity to show you are a balanced and fair minded person.
........
It will probably get ignored, but you never know.
Something that I have not seen any comment on (although I have not been able to read every post) - is the issue that I am sure was mentioned when the news broke.
Along the lines that CITY had evidence - in the form of quotes from one of the PL clubs - that demonstrates that there is clear discrimination
Did I just dream that ?
It is ridiculous. I think if enough clubs are emasculated by the PSR/FFP rules, the tyranny of the majority could shift to the clubs that are not members of the Red Cartel. Which in short means the supposed smaller clubs organise themselves to put a stop to the strait jacket of PSR/FFP.I see that Leicester after just gaining promotion are going to have to sell in order to meet the PSR rules, as if it isnt hard enough to survive after promotion.
Just got a baseball cap with it onSaw someone wearing one of those on the morning of the FA Cup Final in Putney. We walked past him talking amongst ourselves wondering whether he was a Rag or one of ours. Turns out he was a blue!
He'll have a job. He's not currently an MP.
Canvassing the dipper voteHe'll have a job. He's not currently an MP.
I remember reading about FFP back in the day. I remember reading that clubs that had a lot of debt would be banned from the Champions League. It's strange that now debt doesn't count. I can't imagine why that might be.Why don’t City put forward a proposal that states you cannot compete in the premier league with debt above a certain level. Convince 13 other clubs and allow the “tyranny of the majority” to kick United out. See how the media like that.
‘She’s a witch!’The term “tyranny of the majority” is really powerful if you step back and think about it. Whereas the media are saying City are using it because they don’t like democracy, just rewind half a century when the tyranny of the majority made homosexuality a crime, those so called criminals were subject to abuse, prison and in some cases medical procedures to “cure them”.
That my friends is an example of the tyranny of the majority.
Ian Byrne, yet another nut job Scouser, and MP, is probably going to take it to PM’s question time. Lol! :-)
Great point. Another good analogy is the FTSE 100. If you looked at the list 10 years ago it would be different if you looked at it today. The issue the PL need to get their heads around is that change happens, the tectonic plates actually move. Trying to maintain the status quo means they will have to come up with increasingly barmy ideas that are protectionist rather than pragmatic. It's war and City are leading the charge. There will be blood on the carpet...hopefully it won't be ours. And how do they arrive at a fair market value? As an extreme example what if 12 years ago 5 clubs all submitted shirt sponsor ship deals for the same amount, Lets assume the clubs were The Rags, the dippers, Arsenal, Spurs and us.
I would be pretty confident that the people evaluating Fair market value would have put them in the order below.
1. Rags.
2. Dippers.
3. Arsenal.
4. Spurs.
5. City.
Jump forward 15 years and whose shirt sponsor would have had the best deal?
