The most depressing group you have ever heard?

This cover version of the song ‘Chatterton’ (originally performed by Serge Gainsbourg) might get some people’s vote.

It consists of a list of famous people who either committed suicide or went mad.

I love it.

Richey was clearly in a very dark place when he wrote those lyrics, but somehow James managed to fashion pop songs of sorts around them.
 

As I've said on here before, Queen's music does absolutely nothing for me at all, to the extent that I have to turn the radio over or off if they come on.
However, whenever I've seen any interviews with any of the band members, they always come across as really nice and intelligent blokes.

They are. Even Freddie (RIP). Away from the stage, he was a lovely, reserved (yes, really!) man. And Roger and Brian are just regular guys, with no airs or graces about them. Same for John, though he's pretty much a recluse these days. Freddies's death seemed to hit him particularly hard.
