I’m not convinced by Bellingham as a 10 at all. He doesn’t create anything.

He is never a 10 against top level opposition. You could see that at Real Madrid this past season. As soon as he came up against genuinely good teams he was mostly ineffectual in that role (both in the league and CL).

He is a talented 8 who has begun to gulp down his own hype and has started to see himself as bigger than the national team. And he’s picked up some detestable shitehousing habits at Real Madrid, as well.

Someone needs to give him a reality check, as much for his benefit as England’s.

Kane's pass there to Saka before. Looks good on TV but it should have gone to Gallagher. Instead Saka has to come back inside, slow down, wait, and hold off two men. If the ball goes to Gallagher instead, England can double up on that right side and Saka has more support instantly. Stuff like that where you can see why Pep is the greatest manager in the game.

Doesn't need Pep to do that. Heck even Steven Gerrard would have figured that out! Southgate is just out of his depth but the FA want a 'safe' and 'uncontroversial' manager and this is what we've got.
