Tbh looking at Southgate, he probably thinks this himself, let alone the players.

He's a weasel of a bloke, who looks like his penalty miss nearly 30 years ago has completely floored him, and he carries the anguish day in and day out.

That comment about Phillips is a disgrace, on what planet does missing a fella who hasn't kicked a ball for two seasons got to do with anything?

He's made this very good bunch of players feel as though they're inferior, and that's come from him.

He's a little shithouse of a fella, and doesn't have the mental strength to manage a group of players who aren't looking for coaching, just a bit of motivation and inspiration.

If you consider he was playing in the Championship in Jan and has become one of the 1st names on the team sheet for Palace and was a major influence in there turn around in form,
since and then has made the England squad for the Euros that should tell you a tale
He is the closest thing I've seen in an English player to Rhodri, he is a very intelligent footballer that plays 1 and 2 touch football in tight areas he is what Foden needs in this England team and I hope to see him in a City shirt one day

I agree about his CV not getting him anywhere near a job at a top club side, but I do think he’s perfect for the FA because (a) he does what he’s told and he’s never going to rock the boat, and (b) he’s not realistically expected to win anything, so the pressures off.

What amazes me though is why he’s paid 5 million quid a year. Who else is going to pay this clown 5 million quid a year? Not like he’s ever going to walk out on them because no one wants him.

Shearer's comment about Stones not moving into midfield, why do you think that our best centre half is hanging back, you bald geordie twat?

A brand new defensive partnership and a keeper who inspires little confidence.

Also, TAA, just why?

Sure everyone saw bellingham lose a tackle end up on the turf and not get a free kick? He spent 20-30 seconds throwing his arms up, as the game passed him by.

And why not try Phil on the right?

I think our first and only knockout game will be against the Germans.

The team that wins the euros is almost inevitably the team that bonds best, find their best system and digs in to get the results in the knockout rounds.

There are players on that squad obviously not of international quality. There are players in that squad who are obviously not team players. That's on Southgate. When the doors shut and they set up euro camp, it should be them against us, siege mentality. Not squirming out of defeats against Iceland and impotent tournament performances with niceties, it was hard out there and well dones all round. It should be get with it or get benched.

Kane, stay up front otherwise we go with a second striker and you play quarterback

Know what I'd do? I got lambasted on here for suggesting it a few months back, but I'd drop Kane. Make him hungry to score, not to play sweeper.

I'd probably even think about a back three, with stones being that second midfielder alongside rice. Play Arnold right wingback, Gordon left. Have the ability to go wide or through the middle, and fcuk defending because it ain't happening this tournament.

Wèll I'd play Walker in goal
Drop Bellingham and Arnold
ans put Foden in rhe middle.
Keep Kane up front.
Fill the vacant positions with players who want it the most.
Saka and Toney perhaps.
