My latest project is replacing the rear spring leaf on my pickup, i was also unlucky that i did break the bolt that hold the upper shock absorber. And tear down some of the threaded on the bolt (?) so need to get in to the car workshop to fix the those minor things. The upper bolt to the shock absorber is welded to the car.

Making a log store, then maybe a couple of hedgehog houses.

About three years ago I stripped a heavy oak table. It had been varnished, polyurethaned, waxed and god knows what. It had teeth marks, an imprint of a plastic covering and many other sins. It took two coats of strippers to even raise a bubble. After about 60 hours, it was ready. Fine glass paper, brushing and white spirit, then waxing. It was beautiful. It is almost 100 years old.
Our daughter came to stay and remarked on the new dining table, the same table she spent her upbringing eating off and playing on.
Head swollen, I retired from DIY and have paid someone ever since.

I ripped the bathroom out straight down to the brickwork last March. Reboarded walls and tanked. Skimmed ceiling. Rerouted some pipework. And it’s stayed like that since. Wife’s not too happy.
