I have a write up going to answer questions about how Trump is similar to early (not late) Hitler in his psyche, campaigning, rhetoric, actions, policies, aims, popular support, and among them is what he did to the Supreme Court in his first term.

Many are woefully underestimating the power his appointments have given not just to Trump, but the far-right in America, especially Christian Nationalists.

And there are people on here arguing that there are checks and balances in place to ensure there can't be a dictatorship in the USA. Not looking too good at the moment, these checks.

Political violence is wrong. People are quite right to point out that Trump has encouraged this violence and it's ironic he was the target for an attempt on his life.

You'd hope this would humble him and we'll see a different, more somber man at the Republican convention.Looking at what some GOP members are saying I doubt it.

He will milk it for all it's worth and use it again when in power.

They are expected to speak at the RNC tomorrow so it's due.

As an aside I see he's back to usual self after the classified docs judgement. His statement opens strong about unity and the events on Saturday and then turns into his usual witchhunt Joe Biden politically motivated setup

Federal judge in Florida has dismissed the charges. Trump now wants all the charges against him dismissed, including what he's just called those relating to the Jan. 6 "hoax" and the phone calls over the Georgia election results.
He's home free.

Evidence writ large that the US legal system is riddled with political favour. It’ll be challenged but won’t be heard until after the election. She knew what she was doing.

The US is behaving a third world country dressed up in a Gucci belt.

They are saying the prosecutor was unlawfully appointed what does that even mean?
 
Dems and all sane Americans simply have to rally, if it's behind Boden then so be it. The choice is stark , decency and pragmatism must prevail. Time to throw the kitchen sink at it and hope there is a silent majority keeping their powder dry. NBC poll actually had Joe 3 points up today so all is not lost by any stretch

Bought-and-paid for SCOTUS Thomas raised an opinion in the Presidential Immunity ruling that Special Counsel appointments aren't being done in the right way (or at least, this Special Counsel).

Useful Idiot Judge Cannon appears to have taken this 1-man opinion as gospel and thrown the case out because the Special Counsel's appointment is invalid.
